President Joe Biden‘s State Department spokesman, Ned Price, asked the Taliban to create an “inclusive” government that guarantees full citizenship for women, the National File reported.
“Additionally, the UN Security Council issued a joint press statement earlier today calling for a new government that is united, inclusive, and representative, including with the full and meaningful participation of women,” Price said.
“The Council spoke with one voice to underscore that Afghanistan must abide by its international obligations, including to international humanitarian law, and ensure the safety and security of all Afghans and international citizens,” he added.
The speech reveals the globalist institutions’ unrealistic expectations and growing desperation with respect to Afghanistan.
The planned withdrawal of American troops after two decades of fighting was supposed to be a moment of triumph for the Biden administration, but Islamic radicals’ unexpectedly easy takeover has turned it into an unprecedented foreign-policy disaster.
Biden delivered a disjointed speech yesterday, passing on the blame to his three predecessors rather than taking responsibility for his decision.
Nevertheless, he did acknowledge that things did not play out as he had anticipated.
“The truth is, this did unfold more quickly than we had anticipated,” Biden admitted.
Yet, “If anything, the developments of the past week reinforce that ending US military involvement in Afghanistan was the right decision,” he said.
Vice President Kamala Harris has remained mysteriously silent on the crisis in Afghanistan.
During the presidential campaign, she emphasized the importance of getting things right in the crumbling nation.
“I fully recognize the importance of diplomacy and development to success in Afghanistan, and I want to ensure that the country is on a path to stability, that we protect the gains that have been made for Afghan women and others, and that it never again becomes a safe haven for terrorists,” she said.
