(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Nine individuals were killed by a mass shooter at an outlet mall in Allen, a Dallas suburb in Texas, law enforcement announced Saturday. Several others were rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
Allen Fire Department chief Jonathan Boyd said four of the injured are in stable condition, but three are still critically injured after the gunman dressed in all-black tactical gear opened fire in the Allen Premium Outlet mall’s parking lot. The shooter was shot and killed by an officer present in the parking lot.

“Nine victims were transported to local hospitals by Allen Fire Department,” the Allen Police Department confirmed on Twitter. “A multi-agency response helped secure the mall. There is no longer an active threat. A reunification point has been created on Chelsea Boulevard.”

A spokesperson for Medical City Healthcare, a local hospital, told Fox-affiliated Fox 4 Dallas that they are treating eight victims aged between 5 and 61.
“Our hearts are with the individuals and families impacted by this tragic event,” local law enforcement said. “Another briefing will be provided later this evening with additional details.”
A mother described the harrowing experience to a local news outlet, saying she heard popping sounds and saw sparks.
“We were outside the Converse Store and we just heard all this popping,” Elaine Penicaro said to Fox 4. “We kind of all just stopped, and then a second later, just ‘Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop,’ and there were sparks flying like it was right in front of us.”
