Olympics Censoring Backlash of Blasphemous Performance Using Copyright Claims

'The Olympic Committee is DESPERATELY trying to scrub these images from the internet, and even had my account LOCKED this morning. Don’t let them memory hole their blasphemy...'

Elias Irizarry, Headline USA) Following public outrage over a blasphemous and sexually degenerate opening ceremony, which prompted widespread calls to boycott the Olympics in France and at least one advertiser to pull its support, the International Olympic Committee was attempting to memory hole the entire debauched debacle from social media.

Viewers of all kinds responded in outrage after Friday’s opening ceremony, which featured a re-enactment of the Last Supper alongside drag queens, bare testicles and other controversial additions.

Wireless company CSpire announced that it was pulling its ads in response.

Meanwhile, #BoycottOlympics and #BoycottTheOlympics both began trending as many expressed their disapproval.

Alex Jones, host of InfoWars, compared the incident to the Bud Light boycott when the beer company saw its sales plummet as a result of a promotion with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

In response to the backlash the IOC used a third-party company named Athletia Sports to censor free speech and criticism of the performance, issuing copyright claims to take down posts on the social media platform X and pulling its own video from YouTube.

Users received a standardized letter from an individual named Jonathan Schmitz, claiming to represent the IOC through the power of attorney.

“I am writing to you on behalf of my client, the International Olympic Committee. Through our monitoring programme we have become aware that you are displaying and/or offering IOC copyright-protected audio-visual content,” Schmitz wrote.

“Yours faithfully, Jonathan Schmitz,” the letter concluded.

Alex Muse, a social-media influencer and blogger who goes by the Twitter account @amuse, went public with the letter early Saturday and confirmed its veracity to Headline USA. He created a custom edit comparing the performance to the Last Supper. Later, he had his account locked as a result of a copyright claim made on his video.

“ATHLETIA SPORTS on behalf of The International Olympic Committee is actively filing DCMA take down requests with X,” he wrote in his post.

“I created one custom edit comparing the last supper and the opening scene. X locked my account and removed the video,” he added. “While my use clearly fits within ‘fair use’ the IOC is clearly using the DCMA as a way to silence critics.”

Another user influencer, podcast host Nick Sortor, was another of the many who took to the platform to speak out about the censorship insult adding to the injury that the repugnant and offensive performance.

“The Olympic Committee is DESPERATELY trying to scrub these images from the internet, and even had my account LOCKED this morning,” said Nick Sortor. “Don’t let them memory hole their blasphemy.”

Soon after the claims were publicized, users on the site noted that Elon Musk, the owner of X, had unfollowed the Olympics on the platform.

Musk has championed himself as a “free speech absolutist,” since taking over the website in 2022.

However, other public figures—including Pope Francis and Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah were notably silent. Romney, who oversaw the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, has remained close with the IOC.

Just days ago, it announced that the city would again play host to the 2034 games. Assuming Armageddon has not already come.

While Christians bore the brunt of the attack, rife with Satanic imagery—including from rapper Snoop Dogg, a torch bearer, who reportedly wore a Baphomet pendant—others were equally offended by it.

China canceled the opening ceremony broadcast due to its offensiveness to Buddhists and Christians.

Jews and members of the LGBT community, meanwhile, posted messages of solidarity, pointing out that mocking the beliefs of Christians was no way to win their respect and tolerance in reciprocity.

And others, including Canadian professor Jordan Peterson, pointed out that the feckless French surrender monkeys had stopped short of ridiculing all religions for some unusual reason.
