Democrat Rep. Calls for Trump to be Shot over Classified Documents

'Having Trump—not only having the codes, but ... being able to put that out and share it in his resort, with anyone and everyone who comes through, should be terrifying to all Americans...'

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Rep. Stacey Plaskett, D-Virgin Islands, had an apparent Freudian slip on MSNBC Sunday, when she called for former President Donald Trump to be shot over the classified documents scandal.

“Having Trump—not only having the codes, but now having the classified information for Americans—and being able to put that out and share it in his resort, with anyone and everyone who comes through, should be terrifying to all Americans. And he needs to be shot—stopped,” Plaskett said, quickly correcting herself.

Some might interpret Plaskett’s statement as an innocent slip of tongue. But given her connection to sex-trafficking intelligence asset Jeffrey Epstein and her track-record of threatening political opponents, Headline USA finds it newsworthy.

Indeed, Plaskett, the ranking minority member of the House Subcommittee on the Weaponization of Federal Government, threatened journalist Matt Taibbi with up to five years of prison time for a typo.

Taibbi mistakenly referred to CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) when the intended reference had been CIS (Center for Internet Security)—but Plaskett threatened him with a perjury charge over this innocuous mistake.

Plaskett has also pressured Taibbi and other reporters to reveal their sources.

Additionally, as the ranking member of a committee formed to investigate FBI malfeasance, she has attacked legitimate FBI whistleblowers instead of investigating their disclosures.

She released a 315-page report in March, purporting to debunk the whistleblowers’ allegations by quoting cherry-picked excerpts from the interviews they conducted with the Weaponization Subcommittee.

All this odious behavior makes sense when one considers that Plaskett was bankrolled, in part, by Jeffrey Epstein.

“Epstein contributed directly to Democratic Rep. Stacey Plaskett’s last two campaigns for Congress. The U.S. Virgin Islands lawmaker has decided she will be keeping the cash, even after Epstein’s arrest in New York, at least for now,” CNBC reported on July 8, 2019, which was after Epstein’s arrest but before his death.

Reports from the time even indicated that Plaskett had no plans to return Epstein’s donations until the negative publicity pressured her to do so.

Most recently, the Wall Street Journal reported last week that former Virgin Islands First Lady Cecile de Jongh allegedly requested political donations from Epstein for Plaskett’s campaign.

The article focused on de Jongh’s role in facilitating Epstein’s criminal activities—allegedly funneling free visas and English as a Second Language classes for Epstein’s victims.
