Lindsey Grahamnesty Strikes Again w/ Plan to Rubber-Stamp 2M Illegals

'The Dreamers represent a class of illegal immigrants that have much public support...'

(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Establishment star RINO Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., returned to his old ways last week by proposing a bill giving amnesty to 2 million illegal aliens.

Graham has teamed up with Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., to sponsor their “Dream Act,” according to Breitbart News.

The bill is a supplementary action for DACA, Barack Obama’s executive fiat. The illegal immigrants who benefit from that executive order, according to Graham, are viewed more sympathetically by the American people.

“The Dreamers represent a class of illegal immigrants that have much public support because they were minors brought here by their parents and America has become their home,” Graham said, according to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Graham and Durbin’s proposal “would allow noncitizens without lawful status who were brought to the United States as children and meet certain [minimal] education or work requirements to earn lawful permanent residence.”

These requirements are as light as:

  • Have a job for three years
  • Go to college for three years
  • Pass a background check
  • Pay an Application fee

Apparently, these characteristics make these illegals “American in every way except for their immigration status.”

Graham’s altruistic politics comes at a steep price. The Congressional Budget Office has estimated similar proposed amnesty bills would cost American taxpayers $26 billion. This same report estimated one in five DACA illegals would end up on food stamps while one in seven would be on Medicaid.

Indeed, in 2020 the CBO admitted that “immigration has exerted downward pressure on the wages of relatively low-skilled workers who are already in the country, regardless of their birthplace.”

The economic costs are rivaled by the social costs of illegal immigration, which includes:

Graham’s support for amnesty represents a disappointing regression to the mean. The late great Rush Limbaugh, in 2018 observed that “Since Senator McCain passed away, Senator Graham seems to have become a different guy on a lot of things.” Indeed, the great radio host noted that, “Senator Graham seems to have become a more reliable conservative.”

It didn’t last long.
