(Chris Parker, Headline USA) Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, former White House physician to presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, reiterated his concerns about current President Joe Biden’s mental health in a recent interview for the Daily Wire.
“At some point or another, we’re going to have to address this, we’re going to have to explain to the American people what’s going on,” Jackson said. “You know, I have to ask them multiple times to see his complete medical record—for the American people to see it, for him to do cognitive tests.”
Jackson, who is serving his first term as a congressman, first began addressing his concerns for Biden’s health during the 2020 campaign and was scolded by Obama for the perceived betrayal.
This time, Jackson maintained that the problems had become severe enough that even Biden’t longtime allies and handlers are hard-pressed to ignore it.
“I think that now the Democrats and the mainstream media now are starting to say, ‘we can’t ignore this a whole lot longer,’” he said.
Biden’s presidency has been marked by many alarming blunders, but they seem to have gotten worse over time. Earlier this year, Biden drew ridicule after two Easter bunnies had to guide him during the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll.
More recently, his daughter Ashley had to bail him out after reporters began asking questions about the economy. Soaring inflation and fuel prices, along with a struggling supply chain, have strained Biden’s economy. His approval ratings continue to plummet as a result.
He has also raised concern among both supporters and opponents for the numerous times that he’s attempted to shake hands with ghosts.
Even the Pope has acknowledged Biden’s “incoherence.” He was referring to Biden’s staunch support for abortion despite claiming to be a devout Catholic.
The Democrats’ hesitation to publicize their concerns could steam from fears of a Republican comeback during this year’s midterm elections. If their nominee from the previous election is found unfit to serve, it will likely prove devastating for a party that is already struggling to gain support.
The 25th Amendment prescribes protocols in the event of a president being deemed unfit to serve. It would take an act of Congress, in conjunction with the vice president and, likely, Senate to deem Biden unfit and have him removed as president.
However, Republicans may be in no rush to do so prior to the midterm election. If Biden were to exist office, Vice President Kamala Harris—deemed by many to be just as incoherent but less competent—would assume power and Democrats (plus one Republican defector) might have a strong chance of confirming an even more radical replacement to be her vice president.
If both Biden and Harris were rendered unfit, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., would be next in line.
