Woke ‘Batgirl’ Gets Shelved, Part of Turning Tide in Hollywood?

'Big entertainment wants free of its woke captors... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The movie Batgirl has been axed before its release, and will not be released in theaters or on streaming services in order to save the company money.

According to Variety, the film—which had a $90 million budget—was going through test screenings when the call was made to throw out the entire thing so Warner Bros. Discovery could take it as a tax write-down to recoup some of the costs.

Warner Bros. Discovery is in the midst of a company reshuffle, and Batgirl seems to be a relic of an old regime within the company.

Some reports also show that the test screenings were “disastrous” so the studio decided to “cut its losses and run, for the sake of the brand’s future.”

There have also been rumors of the cancellation of an upcoming Supergirl project, and The Flash may be next on the chopping block.

Spokespeople for Warner Bros. and Warner Bros. Discovery have declined to comment on the situation, but there has been a lot of speculation on social media surrounding the event.

It is extremely unusual for a company to just throw away a nearly completed project, and some speculate that this is a sign of change within the super-woke industry.

If this is the case, Warner Bros. may not be the only company making these changes.

Recently, Netflix told their employees to go work somewhere else if the content is not to their liking.

“Depending on your role, you may need to work on titles you perceive to be harmful,” the company said in a memo. “If you’d find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you.”

That, and the recent success of Top Gun: Maverick have also drawn the eyes of Hollywood elites.
