Twitter Users and Trump Respond to Musk’s Cancellation of the Deal

‘He’s got a pretty rotten contract. I looked at his contract, not a good contract. Sign up for Truth. We love Truth...’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) After Elon Musk announced that he is not going to buy Twitter, people on the social media platform, along with Donald Trump on his own Truth Social, didn’t hold back on what they thought about the recent news.

On July 8, the owner of Tesla said in a letter written by his attorneys that he is not going to buy Twitter for $44 billion because of its fake/”bot” accounts problem, according to the Daily Wire.

“Mr. Musk and his financial advisors at Morgan Stanley have been requesting critical information from Twitter as far back as May 9, 2022—and repeatedly since then—on the relationship between Twitter’s disclosed mDAU figures and the prevalence of false or spam accounts on the platform,” the letter said.

“Notwithstanding these repeated requests over the past two months, Twitter has still failed to provide much of the data and information responsive to Mr. Musk’s repeated requests.”

Dave Rubin of Rubin Report said that even though Musk decided to not buy Twitter, the “party is over” now because he exposed Twitter’s corruption about how many people actually use the social media platform.

“Holy s***. The party really is over here. The purge is coming,” he said.

“Think about the bot/manipulation/corruption he found out about while doing due diligence. Probably can’t say anything because of non-disclosures. This explains Twitter’s more brazen suspensions and the increased shadowbanning lately. What a s***hole.”

Rubin also added that it’s time to leave Big Tech and use better places to express your opinions.

“This was the last chance that something decent could be salvaged from the nightmare that Big Tech could become,” he said.

“The time to build new things was a long time ago. I’ll continue with @rumblevideo and @onlocals.”

Robby Starbuck also shared his thoughts about the subject matter.

“Welp, the communists still run Twitter. Not good. I get why @elonmusk is pulling out of the deal because it’s pretty clear there’s a spam problem but cultural Marxists in control of the online public square is NOT good going into critical elections,” he said.

Censorship will intensify.”

Donald Trump, who was banned from the platform after the events of Jan. 6, said that he had previously warned that Musk was not going to buy Twitter and gave him the advice to join Truth Social, according to Breitbart.

“Elon is not going to buy Twitter. Where did you hear that before? From me… he’s not going to be buying it, although he might later. Who the hell knows what’s going to happen?” Trump said.

“He’s got a pretty rotten contract. I looked at his contract, not a good contract. Sign up for Truth. We love Truth.”
