(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., suggested Tuesday that one of the Biden administration’s leading domestic imports—hardcore narcotics—may offer a unique solution to its equally self-inflicted fuel crisis.
The colorful Kennedy’s tongue-in-cheek proposal during an interview with Fox News’s Jesse Watters might also help with the nation’s obesity crisis—unless the anticipated food shortage starves them first.
“In my state the price of gas is so high that it would be cheaper to buy cocaine and just run everywhere,” Kennedy quipped, according to Red State.
This statement came during a segment discussing Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who—after a year of gaslighting on inflation—finally admitted that she was wrong about the “transitory” nature of the problem.
“I do expect inflation to remain high, although I very much hope that it will be coming down,” she said in a recent hearing.

In response to this statement, Kennedy slammed Yellen for her lack of solution and slowness to action.
“She does not have a solution to inflation, but she really admires the problem,” Kennedy said, translating Yellen’s statements. “In other words, get used to it.”
To close out the interview, Kennedy brought up Vice President Kamala Harris’s plan to end illegal immigration, which involves investing millions of dollars into South- and Central-American companies.
Harris has not explained how this would achieve an end to illegals crossing the Southern border.
“There is no force in history—none—more powerful than self-delusion.” Kennedy said, in a statement meant for Harris.
“The root cause of illegal immigration is that people are coming into our country illegally… because you and President Biden are letting them in,” he continued. “The American people understand that, and that’s why President Biden is about as popular right now as a sinkhole.”
