(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) In a move that has received widespread praise, Georgia Republican Attorney General Chris Carr indicted dozens of Antifa members on racketeering charges over years of riots, arson and violent protests in opposition to Atlanta’s Public Safety Training Center.
“Cop City,” the title that was given by leftist activists, has been targeted by organized, violent mobs since it was announced.
Carr said that activists targeting the facility were “militant anarchists,” as the indictment indicated when it was announced on Tuesday, the Western Journal reported. The indictment, dated Aug. 29, used Georgia’s anti-racketeering or RICO law and targeted 61 Antifa members.
The mayhem unleashed by Antifa activists forced the state’s Republican Gov. Brian Kemp into declaring a state of emergency in response to a spree of violence, gun fire, arson and looting that was widespread and relentless.
Antifa radicals called for a Night of Rage after police were forced to gun down an armed leftist militant who was shooting at Georgia state troopers. The domestic terrorism reached an apex when Antifa squads executed a planned attack and burned down the Public Safety Training Facility.

RICO is the same statute that Soros-backed Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis used to charge Donald Trump and 18 other people for questioning the results of the 2020 election. Carr’s indictment of Antifa could be viewed as a sign of the state’s Republican Party finally starting to fight fire with fire, the Journal noted.
Carr accused all of the defendants of violence, intimidation, destruction of property and conspiring to obstruct the construction of the police and fire training center.
The criminals have also previously been charged with domestic terrorism and other acts in connection to the violent protests and riots at or near the training center. In addition to that, three leaders of the movement against it were also accused of money laundering.
Earlier this year, Carr expressed his willingness to use the full power of the law to keep order in the state when he shared a Fox News report about some of the “Cop City” rioting.
“We are not Oregon. We are not California. We are not Washington. You cannot come to our state, break our laws, throw rocks at buildings, damage property and shoot police officers. You can and you will be charged, and that’s exactly what we’re doing,” he wrote.
