(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Tahoma High School English and “World Culture through Film” teacher Hilary Ledford gave her students an assignment, forcing them to tell the rest of the class about their so-called “gender identity,” ethnicity, sexual orientation, “ability,” religion and class status.
“Hilary Ledford has been giving her students assignments that require them to divulge their religion, gender identity, and sexual preference while simultaneously creating a ‘sexual activist’ type environment in her class,” according to the parental rights group Tahoma Parents.
The reason why normal people learned about the assignment is because one of the students brought it to a parent because one was uncomfortable about submitting to the woke ideology, the Post Millennial reported. The parent of the child then told the school principal and school district about the indoctrination that happens in the school.
However, concerned parents didn’t need to hear from their kids about the woke ideologues that teach them. Sometimes it is enough to check the social media of the professional indoctrinators.
“If I told you one of my lessons caused a deranged parent to email district admin, school admin, the school board, AND post about me on social media, would you believe me?” Ledford wrote in an Instagram story. After receiving the backlash from parents, she made her social media accounts private.
While parents were not bothered to check the social media of the teacher, the students were more than familiar with the information that their teacher used to post.
“Ledford’s social media is actively followed by her students,” according to the Tahoma parents website.
“Videos and photos submitted to us show unprofessional relationships with students, off-topic classroom signage, promotion of controversial ideological values, public thoughts of suicide and more,” the post says. “This display is extremely concerning considering she posts videos of her students and their content.”
Even though the school district quickly responded to parents with the standard phrase of the content of the assignment being “inappropriate,” it didn’t provide any update about whether the indoctrinator is fired or not.
“Teachers often get away with injecting personal narratives due to contractual clauses that provide them Academic Freedom,” an anonymous school administrator said.
However, it was not the first time when Ledford showed her true colors. In 2018, she wanted to create “safe spaces” program in the school to teach “tolerance and inclusion,” according to a Tahoma News article.
