Racist Ga. Art-School Students Try to Cancel Justice Thomas in Hometown

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Woke leftists across the nation—particularly on college campuses—are looking for ways to cancel Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas after the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

According to Front Page Mag, the Savannah College of Art and Design has a high concentration of these woke students—who also happen to be white—and are working tirelessly to erase any trace of Thomas, a Savannah-area native, from their campuses.

SCAD recently removed a sign designating a building to the justice—the Thomas Center for Historic Preservation. They issued no official statement about the matter, but it was reported that an alumni-led petition may have been the cause.

The alum, known as Griffin Hansen, is a cartoonist with his pronouns in his bio and is a self-proclaimed “Gruppeteer.”

In the petition, Hansen claimed that because “SCAD’s student body is compromised of 69% women” and “an overwhelming majority of students at the school identify themselves as members of the LGBTQ+ community,” naming a building after Thomas is “unacceptable.”

Thomas, a black man, may be replaced by one of the alternative designations provided by Hansen, with four out of the five alternatives being white people.

Hansen did not address his attack on black representation, nor did he apologize for his whiteness.

This is not the first time the Thomas Center has been subject to controversy. Another alum, Sage Lucero, had previously generated a petition in the hopes of the school opting for a more inclusive representative.

“I don’t want any other female who has hopes and dreams to have to walk through the doors of that building. They shouldn’t have to be subjugated to that toxic feeling,” Lucero, who lists her alter ego as “Rage”, contended at the time.

Since graduating from SCAD, Lucero has worked on ad campaigns for Oreo and Kroger.

The petition was not successful at the time because Lucero took it down, claiming that she was being victimized in her attempt to cancel Thomas.

“I no longer feel safe moving forward with this,” she said.

Students inhabiting campuses across the nation are attacking Thomas for his key roll in the Dobbs overturn, including at George Washington University, which has proven one of the few holdouts to allowing the inmates from running the asylum.
