Trump kept his messaging on borders and crime as well as reforming elections and blasted Biden for Ukraine.
“You can’t defend western civilization if you would not be able to defend your own civilization – and that means we need borders that work, elections that are fair and free, and crime that must be immediately stopped in our cities,” he said.
“I stand as the only president of the twenty-first century on whose watch Russia did not invade another country,” he added.
Trump has hinted several times at a potential 2024 run, but this may be his strongest remarks yet.
He criticized Biden heavily and alluded to the pushback Biden has received for his policies, which have made the U.S. dependent on foreign sources of energy.
“With Biden you get a war in Europe and a war on energy. With Republicans you get Energy Independence and energy dominance,” Trump said. “You could take the five worst presidents in American history and put them together, and they would not have done the damage that Joe Biden and his Administration has done in just a very short 13 months.”
Trump also touted his new social media app, Truth Social, which overwhelmed with signups after its launch.
