(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump responded to his reportedly imminent arrest this week with a scathing takedown of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who was castigated as a pawn doing the bidding of a Democrat regime that has politically weaponized the justice system, and called for protests if an indictment is forthcoming.
Bragg was reportedly set to arrest Trump this week based on a nearly decade-old, alleged hush-money case involving porn star Stormy Daniels.
“When Alvin Bragg first attained office, he made it very clear that, like many other prosecutors, there was no case against Donald J. Trump,” the former president wrote on Truth Social. “Then the Biden Administration, the Democrats, and the Fake News Media began pushing him, and pushing him hard, and low and behold he said that there might just be a case after all. I knew what that meant — He was being pushed to do something that shouldn’t be done. He wasn’t willing to stand up to Soros and the Marxists that are destroying our Country!”
Trump accused President Joe Biden of ultimately being behind a plot to preemptively derail Trump’s 2024 White House run.
“Biden wants to pretend he has nothing to do with the Manhattan D.A.’s Assault on Democracy when, in fact, he has ‘stuffed’ the D.A.’s Office with Department of Injustice people, including one top DOJ operative from D.C. who is actually running the ‘Horseface’ Witch Hunt,” Trump wrote, dropping his nickname for Stormy Daniels.
“Bragg is a (Soros) Racist in Reverse, who is taking his orders from D.C. I beat them TWICE, doing much better the second time, and despite their DISINFORMATION campaign, they don’t want to run against “TRUMP” or my GREAT RECORD!” Trump wrote.
Along with blistering Bragg, Trump also ripped the dubious charges and case that the DA has pursued.
“There was no ‘misdemeanor’ here either,” Trump noted of the original charge that was bumped to a felony.
Trump also pointed out that the alleged misdeeds “are MANY years beyond the Statute of Limitations which, in this instance, is TWO YEARS. More importantly, THERE WAS NO CRIME!!!”
Conservative political pundit Mark Levin warned that pursuing an arrest of Trump would do more to damage an already fractured public trust that the Biden regime and its deep state operatives have created on everything from censorship and misguided COVID mandates to election tampering and targeting conservatives.
“When the people lose faith in the law the country is done,” Levine told Fox News. “The people are losing faith in the law because the Democrat Party and the Democrat prosecutors in Manhattan, the Soros prosecutor want them to lose faith in the law. Their whole goal is to destroy the civil society and the morality that undergirds it. That is the mission of the Democrat Party.”
In response to reports of a looming arrest, Trump called for protests against a tyrannical regime that is abusing the justice system for its own political gain and at the expenses of the country.
“IT’S TIME!!!” Trump wrote in his trademark all-caps emphasis. “WE ARE A NATION IN STEEP DECLINE, BEING LED INTO WORLD WAR III BY A CROOKED POLITICIAN WHO DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HE’S ALIVE, BUT WHO IS SURROUNDED BY EVIL & SINISTER PEOPLE WHO, BASED ON THEIR ACTIONS ON DEFUNDING THE POLICE, DESTROYING OUR MILITARY, OPEN BORDERS, NO VOTER I.D., INFLATION, RAISING TAXES, & MUCH MORE, CAN ONLY HATE OUR NOW FAILING USA. WE JUST CAN’T ALLOW THIS ANYMORE. THEY’RE KILLING OUR NATION AS WE SIT BACK & WATCH. WE MUST SAVE AMERICA!PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!”
Trump supporters are taking the message to heart.
