Trump Files for Injunction to Reinstate YouTube Account as Part of Big Tech Lawsuit

'The American people, and truth itself, are under attack by Big Tech’s unlawful and Communist-style censorship...'

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday filed a preliminary injunction against YouTube as part of a sweeping class-action lawsuit that targets three top tech companies for their partisan censorship.

“The American people, and truth itself, are under attack by Big Tech’s unlawful and Communist-style censorship,” Trump said in a statement Tuesday.

“We filed a historic class action lawsuit because every American deserves to have their First Amendment Rights protected, not destroyed by leftist radicals in Silicon Valley,”he added.

In addition to targeting YouTube’s parent company, Google, and its CEO, Sundar Pichai, Trump also plans to take action against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

According to press release from the Trump-backed America First Policy Institute, Tuesday’s action was intended to force the reinstatement of Trump’s YouTube channel.

“The case will present a clear set of facts that show Big Tech is working with and being coerced by the Federal Government to censor and eliminate the voices of millions of Americans,” said Pam Bondi, chairman for AFPI’s Constitutional Litigation Partnership.

Bondi is the former attorney general of Florida, where the lawsuit was filed.

“By taking this action against the Defendants, President Trump and the men and women of the class will restore hope and faith in the justice system,” she said.

Trump initially announced the lawsuit in July, and it has since garnered more than 85,000 class-action participants.

“We must fight back,” he said in Tuesday’s statement. “They are destroying our Country. There is nothing more important than our right to free speech.”
