Tribunal TV Star Witness Trashed ‘Phony’ J6 Committee, Praised Trump

'Other than a handful of irrelevant texts, I have literally no documents or anything they’re asking about... '

(Headline USA) The Jan. 6 congressional committee’s key star Cassidy Hutchinson, a former Trump White House aide, reportedly changed her story about what she knew concerning the Capitol protests and how she felt about working for former President Donald Trump, while speaking with friends in private.

The Federalist revealed this week that Hutchinson’s private communications were very different from what she told the Jan. 6 committee during her congressional testimony that was stage-crafted as part of the ongoing Tribunal TV infomercial.

Before the committee on national television, she claimed she “still struggle[s] to work through the emotions” of Jan. 6. Yet in text messages to her friends, Hutchinson blasted the committee as politicized and admitted she had very little information about what happened on Jan. 6.

“I would rather shoot myself dead into the Potomac than see marine one flying around this city without 45 again,” Hutchinson wrote in one message nearly three months after the Capitol protests, referring to Trump.

In another exchange with a former colleague, Hutchinson insisted that the Jan. 6 panel was a “phony committee” and said she would have nothing to offer them if they subpoenaed her.

“Other than a handful of irrelevant texts, I have literally no documents or anything they’re asking about,” her colleague said.

“Same,” she wrote back.

She also seemed to support the efforts of the Jan. 6 protesters. On Jan. 5, 2021, she tweeted that she was stopping by the Capitol to meet with Trump supporters.

“Gotta see our PEOPLE,” she wrote.

She also joked about launching her own “insurrection” into a friend’s apartment building.

“Let’s have an insurrection at parc Chelsea,” she wrote. “How about … jan 6, 2023?”

Shortly after being subpoenaed by the committee, Hutchinson joked that she was going to use a picture of Trump as her Zoom background during her deposition.

“I’m 100% gonna [use] a Trump filter for my Zoom background when I’m subpoenaed,” she wrote. “Like it’ll be Trump standing outside Mar-a-Lago. Or maybe the iconic picture of him and Melania in Trump Tower surrounded by gold furniture.”
