Tlaib Talks w/ Climate Extremists Whose Members Face FBI Probe for Destroying Priceless Artwork

'We cannot afford to wait a minute longer. Complacency is a luxury we choose to enjoy at our own peril...'

(Corine GattiHeadline USA) Far-left Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., held a Zoom call on Sunday organized by an environmental extremist group that had two members under FBI investigation for vandalism.

Fox News Digital reported that three prominent groups—namely Declare Emergency, Climate Defiance and the Climate Emergency Fund—talked with Tlaib, strategizing future plans aimed at disrupting climate change.

Alarmingly, the call seemed to hint at encouraging even more acts of eco-terrorism under the pretext that only drastic action could help curb the dire situation faced by the environment.

“Fires, smoke, tornadoes, and unprecedented weather events are becoming commonplace as we experience climate breakdown,” the Zoom call summary read. “We cannot afford to wait a minute longer. Complacency is a luxury we choose to enjoy at our own peril.”

The main goal of the meeting was to motivate and energize activists to take action against climate change, the news outlet noted.

Declare Emergency, who was on the call on Sunday, had two members investigated by the FBI’s Art Crime Team for vandalizing a protective box around a famous statue in the National Gallery of Art in April.

Demonstrators Timothy Martin of North Carolina and Joanna Smith of New York caused $2,400 worth of damage and resulted in the removal of the display, Edward Degas’s “Little Dancer.” They could face up to five years in prison and a maximum $250,000 fine.

Climate Defiance was reportedly on the call. The group organized a fundraiser in the past with the stated objective of making “Complicit Climate Cowards’ Lives F—ing Miserable.”

According to their website, Climate Defiance has a “Pledge of Resistance” recruitment form, asking if the signer is willing to “risk” being arrested for the cause.

The Climate Emergency Fund was under scrutiny from conservative groups for funding radical environmental activists.

“Climate Emergency Fund has quickly become the ATM that radical environmental activists turn to fund their latest disruptions,” Caitlin Sutherland, executive director of the conservative watchdog Americans for Public Trust, said in an interview with the Washington Examiner in May.

Tlaib’s spokesperson told Fox News Digital the congresswoman has no “official connection to any of the groups on Zoom.”
