‘It’s Tough’: Dan Bongino Reveals Real Reason Behind Fox News Abrupt Exit

'The first day of my unemployment the liberals said I was fired, I’m unemployed, kind of hysterical watching the reaction... '

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Fox News and conservative firebrand Dan Bongino parted ways, they both announced Thursday. The news prompted leftist outlets to speculate whether his departure was tied to the Dominion lawsuit against the cable news channel. Bongino spoke out and gave the real reason behind his departure.

“We thank Dan for his contributions and wish him success in his future endeavors,” Fox News announced Thursday.

The news came two days after the conservative channel and Dominion Voting Systems reached a $787 million settlement, avoiding a weeks-long trial that would have caught the nation’s attention.

Bongino, who hosted a Saturday night show named Unfiltered, was accused of being booted off the air because of the Dominion settlement, Forbes noted. Los Angeles magazine implied Bongino had been “fired.” A similar article headlined “Dominion truth bomb produces Fox’s first casualty,” appeared in the Washington Press, Forbes reported.

The conservative host immediately took to his Rumble show, The Dan Bongino Show, to clear the air and tell the real reason behind his abrupt departure.

“It’s tough. It’s tough to say that,” Bongino said Thursday. “There is no acrimony. This isn’t like some WWE brawl that happened. We just couldn’t come to terms on an extension, and that is really it.”

Bongino revisited the news of his exit from Fox News on his Friday show, slamming down the media’s conspiracies behind his departure.

“The first day of my unemployment the liberals said I was fired, I’m unemployed, kind of hysterical watching the reaction,” Bongino said, ripping leftists for claiming he was terminated.

In statements to Forbes, a person with ties to Fox News said the departure “was not related to” the Dominion lawsuit.

Dominion Voting System sued Fox News and its parent company Fox Corporation on claims that the conservative network spread what Dominion dubbed false claims around the 2020 election.

Bongino’s daily radio and Fox Nation’s Canceled in the USA also came to an end, the Associated Press reported.

The Dan Bongino Show will continue to air on weekdays at 11:00 pm ET via Rumble, a conservative video-hosting network.
