Since Musk Takeover, 15M New Users Have Signed Up for Twitter

'Twitter usage is at an all-time high lol...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Since taking ownership of social media platform Twitter, new Chief Twit Elon Musk has been telling advertisers that user growth is at “all-time highs.”

In a document sent to the Twitter sales team to be distributed to advertisers, Twitter highlighted its monetizable daily user growth which has risen by 20% since the takeover, The Verge reported.

“Twitter’s largest market, the US, is growing evermore quickly,” the document stated.

It also shows that Twitter has added more than 15 million monetizable daily users, crossing the quarter-million mark for a total of 237.8 million monetizable daily users and an anticipated 16.6% yearly growth rate.

Musk tweeted something along similar lines.

“Twitter user numbers have increased significantly around the world since the deal was announced,” he said. “And these are very early days. As Twitter becomes by far the most reliable source of truth, it will be indispensable.”

Almost immediately after taking over Twitter, Musk removed some top executives, including ex-CEO Parag Agrawal and announced he would be charging $8 every month for verified accounts.

Many companies announced they would be pausing their Twitter advertisements temporarily, leading to a “massive drop in revenue” and Musk laying off several hundred more employees because of the exodus.

Musk reported that activist groups were pressuring advertisers to pull out from Twitter.

The platform’s top advertising executive, Sarah Personette, has also resigned from the company, resulting in confusion among advertisers.

In another Tweet on Monday, Musk announced that “Twitter usage is at an all-time high.”

Musk also plans to change the platform’s content-moderation policies.

The company will create a “content moderation council of widely diverse viewpoints,” which has yet to be formed.

The Left has been in an uproar since Musk took over Twitter, especially after he went public with the fact that he was voting Republican this year.
