Adam Schiff ‘Unfortunately’ Tests Positive for COVID

'I'm feeling fine, and grateful to be vaccinated and boosted...'

(Headline USA) U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-California, announced Tuesday that he has tested positive for the coronavirus.

This evening, I unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19,” the 61-year-old Schiff tweeted.

“I’m feeling fine, and grateful to be vaccinated and boosted,” he continued. “In the coming days, I will quarantine and follow CDC guidelines. And remember, please get vaccinated!”

Despite his appeal to followers who already have undoubtedly maxxed out their own vaccine eligibility, Schiff’s own vaccine and booster shots seemed to have failed in preventing him from contracting it.

It was unclear whether his quarantine might derail the urgent fishing expedition of the partisan Jan. 6 Committee, which hopes to push claims of criminality against former President Donald Trump before the November midterm election.

After pushing yet another bogus story last week about a gap in Trump’s call records, the committee was due this week to consider contempt charges for two more Trump advisers with tenuous connections to the Jan. 6, 2021 rally that led to a shutdown of the US Capitol.

Schiff also chairs the House Intelligence Committee and represents California’s 28th Congressional District.

Schiff didn’t indicate where he might have contracted the infection or whether it involved a new COVID-19 subvariant, BA.2, that has provided worrying upticks in caseloads overseas and is spreading in the United States.

Several other political figures have tested positive for COVID-19 recently, including White House press secretary Jen Psaki, CIA Director William Burns and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy.

President Joe Biden, meanwhile, received his fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine last week.
