Rep. Dan Goldman Claims Hunter Biden a ‘Victim’ of Two-Tiered Justice

'Here is the most insane take you will see all day...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) In an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y. made the dubious claim that embattled First Son Hunter Biden, not former President Donald Trump, is a victim of a two-tiered system of justice.

During the interview, co-host Jonathan Lemire highlighted the so-called Republican effort to “negatively impact President Bill’s poll numbers” by releasing damning evidence of alleged political corruption and interference by the Biden-led DOJ into the Hunter’s probe, which led to his guilty plea in May.

“Based on my experience, I’m shocked that Hunter Biden was even charged with these crimes,” Goldman said of Hunter’s numerous federal tax violations. “If you look at the history of civil and criminal enforcement of tax issues, and just look at Roger Stone’s case. He effectively did the same thing as Hunter Biden and he simply paid a fine.”

The New York congressman added, “The fact that he is even taking a plea deal, in my mind, demonstrates a two-tiered system of justice against Hunter Biden, not at all in favor of Donald Trump or the Republicans.”

Goldman’s sweeping statements about Hunter being a so-called “victim” drew criticism from prominent conservative leaders, with Collin Roug, the co-owner of Trending Politics, calling the remarks “insane.” Rugg then shared a lengthy list of apparent political protection of Hunter Biden from the feds.

“Let’s take a look at how ‘unfairly’ Hunter Biden has been treated: […] An FBI mole helped Hunter Biden by tipping him off to China probes into his corrupt business dealings,” Rugg said. “The same FBI mole gave $100,000 to a trust for Joe Biden’s grandchildren according to emails on Hunter’s laptop.”

Miranda Devine, a prominent opinion writer and author, shared Goldman’s remarks via Twitter with a laughing emoji as its caption. Jake Schneider, a Republican strategist, echoed Devine’s tweet, mocking Goldman’s remarks with clown-like emojis.

Joe Pags Pagliarulo, a prominent radio host, chimed in by saying, “What a ridiculous liar.”
