(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) Reversing course, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says it’s time for a legitimate inquiry into Biden family corruption allegations.
Earlier this month, the Democrat presidential candidate declined to comment on any purported or alleged wrongdoing involving his rival for the 2024 nomination.
Kennedy seemed to adopt a different approach, however, during a conversation with Fox News/Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo that aired on the Sunday Morning Futures program.
“I have avoided criticizing the president because I’m trying to bring people together and end some of the vitriol, the poison, that’s made politics so poisonous,” RFK Jr. explained.
Kennedy, 69, then agreed with Bartiromo when she injected that “we don’t want corruption in government.”
“I think, though, the issues that are now coming up are worrying enough that we really need a real investigation of what happened,” he continued.
“I mean, these revelations…where you have Burisma — which is a notoriously corrupt company that paid out apparently $10 million to Hunter and his dad — if that’s true, then it is really troubling.”
With that in mind, RFK Jr. declared that “So I think..it needs to be investigated.”
Kennedy seemed to be referring to a FBI document released by U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley — R – Iowa, indicating that the Burisma founder allegedly told a credible FBI informant that Joe and Hunter Biden supposedly coerced him into paying them $5 million each to short-circuit an investigation into the Ukraine energy firm.
Perhaps in the context of the way the feds have slow-walked any Biden-related influence-pedaling probe, Bartiromo then alluded to the contrast in the aggressive, if not mendacious, way the politicized DOJ and other agencies have pursued Donald Trump and those in the former president’s orbit. This latter process that has become known as lawfare and an exemplar of a two-tiered justice system.
Kennedy again agreed with his interlocutor.
“I think that that’s something that every American needs to worry about, that our federal agencies, which used to be above politics, and now become weaponized as political instruments. And that, again, is another really damaging trend for our democracy.”
RFK Jr. suffers from a rare condition called spasmodic dysphonia, which makes his voice raspy. That has hardly stopped him for an extensive speaking schedule as he campaigns across the country for the nomination.
Democrats tried and failed to prevent him speaking at the U.S. House subcommittee on weaponization of the federal government last week during which he eloquently defended the constitutional right to free speech as provided by the First Amendment.
While still liberal on many issues, Kennedy, a lifelong Democrat who now seems to be considered a pariah by his party’s establishment, has emerged as someone who fervently opposes Deep State censorship and passionately advocates for health freedom.
