REPORT: Actress Debra Messing ‘Fed Up’ w/ Biden Over ‘Roe’ Decision

'Our house is on fire and it seems like they’re doing nothing to put the fire out. They’re just watching it with the rest of us... '

(Headline USA) Actress Debra Messing reportedly said this week she is “fed up” with President Joe Biden, whom she claimed to help get elected, because of his inaction on the recent overturn of Roe v. Wade.

Messing was one of several celebrities and Democrat activists on a phone call with White House aides last Monday, and blasted Biden’s team for not doing more to combat the Supreme Court’s recent decision striking down Roe and returning the abortion debate to the states.

“Messing said she’d gotten Joe Biden elected and wanted to know why she was being asked to do anything at all, yelling that there didn’t even seem a point to voting,” CNN reported. “Others wondered why the call was happening.”

The actress has not commented on the reported meeting, but shared a tweet on Wednesday praising Biden for a “record breaking” year for economic growth.

Messing’s reported frustrations are similar to many activists’. One Democrat strategist told The Hill that the White House seems content to watch Democrats lose this November.

“It’s infuriating,” the strategist said.

“Our house is on fire and it seems like they’re doing nothing to put the fire out. They’re just watching it with the rest of us.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to defend the president’s record this week, saying he has been working “tirelessly” to pass a progressive agenda.

“This is a president that has been working tirelessly day in and day out since he’s walked into this administration fighting for the American public,” she said.

“That is what matters to him. That is what is important is delivering every way that he can to make sure that we get things done.”
