(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The FBI is investigating President Joe Biden for bribery in relation to the secretive payments his family has received from foreign nationals, according to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky.
Comer dropped the bombshell during an appearance Fox News, when he was responding to claims from House Oversight ranking member Jamie Raskin, D-N.Y., that the FBI had already looked into the Biden matter and decided it wasn’t worth an investigation.
“Jamie Raskin lied, and the FBI told us that it was still a part of an ongoing investigation,” Comer said.
“According to the FBI and according to Bill Barr, Joe Biden is currently under investigation for bribery. And this gets lost in translation because the media is so focused on Donald Trump.”
Comer’s committee has been investigating an alleged complex money laundering scheme that involved more than 20 companies, 12 banks and nine Biden relatives.
The committee published a 36-page report last month, presenting evidence that wire payments were made from corrupt Romanian and Chinese officials to Hunter Biden through intermediary companies, which were formed while Joe Biden was still vice president.
In one instance, Hunter Biden received 16 payments from a corrupt Romanian official while his father was still vice president. In another instance, Hunter’s company, Owasco P.C., received $100,000 from Chinese national Gongwen Dong through an apparent intermediary shell corporation.
More information is contained in a yet-to-be-released FBI FD-1023 form, which contains the allegations reported by a highly placed confidential informant against the Biden family.
After reviewing the FBI FD-1023 form, Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., said the informant has levied allegations directly at the president—and not at the various family members.
“There was a $5 million dollar payment made to Joe Biden, not Hunter Biden, Joe Biden ‘the Big Guy,’” Boebert said last week during an interview with Benny Johnson’s podcast.
Meanwhile, the FBI is purportedly worried that its highly placed confidential source might be killed if that person’s identity is revealed, according to Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla.
“The FBI is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family,” she said last week.
