(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Newly discovered campaign finance records further undermined long-running claims from the Biden administration that the president’s influence and pressure have played no part in the probes and prosecutions surrounding the alleged criminal activity and corruption of himself and family members.
Donations running into the thousands, given exclusively to Democrats, including President Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and dating back as far as the 2008 Obama-Biden campaign, were made by the pair of prosecutors leading the case against Gal Luft. The whistleblower, currently in hiding and reportedly in fear for his life, has made repeated allegations linking the president, his son Hunter Biden and other members of what has been called the “Biden crime family,” to corrupt dealings with China.
The Biden Justice Department earlier this month indicted Luft with multiple charges that included everything from failing to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act and Iranian sanctions violations, to arms trafficking and making false statements to federal agents.
Assistant U.S. attorneys Catherine Ghosh and Daniel Richenthal, who are in charge of Luft’s prosecution and originally interviewed him in 2019, have been reliable Biden and Democrat Party donors, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
“Ghosh made 35 contributions in the 2020 election cycle to Biden’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee, according to campaign finance records,” the outlet reported. “Richenthal contributed to the 2008 Obama-Biden campaign when he served in private practice, the records show.”
The charge against Luft for failing to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act took on heightened relevancy when Hunter Biden’s plea deal on tax crimes collapsed. The development included a revelation that the president’s son is under investigation for being a foreign agent.

“I’ve been saying for months that Hunter Biden should have been registered as a foreign agent,” said House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer, R-Ky.
The committee “will continue to follow the Biden money trail to determine whether foreign actors targeted the Bidens and if President Biden is compromised,” Comer added.
