Poll: GOP Leads on Issues Most Important to Voters

(Chris ParkerHeadline USA) Less than two months ahead of the midterm elections, polls show that the GOP maintains a strong lead over issues that are most important to voters.

The cost of living remains the top concern as voters struggle with Bidenflation. Over 60% of Americans cited a candidate’s position on it as the most important factor, reported Fox News.

Thirty-seven percent also said that abortion was the most important factor. This could be good news for Republicans, as ad spending shows Democrats are still relying on abortion to save their chances during the midterms.

Overall, 47% of voters believe Republicans are best equipped to handle economic issues, compared to 28% favoring Democrats.

Still, it may be too soon for Republicans to get complacent. While the GOP currently has the advantage, Democrats are gaining traction.

That same poll found that Democrats and Republicans are tied on the congressional ballot. That narrowed a 2-point lead that Republicans had just last month, showing a potential advantage for Democrats.

President Biden’s approval rating has also increased by three percentage points over the past month, to 45%.

Another 20% of voters also view threats to the democracy as the most pressing issue after Biden’s highly divisive and alarming claim that “MAGA Republicans” are a “threat to the democracy.”

Biden’s Executive Order 14019 is also using taxpayer dollars to give friendly voters preferred access to voting. A report uncovering the details of that order also show that the government’s get-out-and-vote promotions are largely targeting blue districts.

Overall, Democrats are gaining traction in nine battleground House races. However, Republicans are making significant gains in Georgia and Oregon. The GOP is still leading the Senate race in Georgia.

Over half of US voters also disapprove of Biden’s handling of the US border. The Border Patrol has been overwhelmed throughout the year, allowing many foreign criminals to enter the nation with ease.
