‘If Speaker Pelosi is afraid to try her case, the articles should be dismissed for failure to prosecute…’

(Claire Russel, Liberty Headlines) Nearly a dozen GOP senators are sponsoring a resolution to change the Senate’s rules and allow lawmakers to dismiss the House’s articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump if Democrats continue to delay sending them.
First introduced by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., the resolution states that the Senate’s current impeachment rules do not take into account the Democrats’ political maneuvering, most notably the refusal by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to pass the articles of impeachment onto the Senate.
“The Constitution gives the Senate sole power to adjudicate articles of impeachment, not the House,” Hawley said in a statement. “If Speaker Pelosi is afraid to try her case, the articles should be dismissed for failure to prosecute and Congress should get back to doing the people’s business.”
If it passes, the resolution would give the House 25 days to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate. If the House refuses, the senate GOP would then offer a motion to completely dismiss the articles “with prejudice for failure by the House of Representatives to prosecute such articles” with a simple majority vote.
“Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are making a mockery of our government,” Scott said in a statement. ” Democrats have wanted to impeach Donald Trump since he came down that escalator four years ago. They just hate Trump.”
Scott said the impeachment amounted to little more than a distraction with more pressing matters to attend to.
“If Nancy Pelosi doesn’t want to send the articles to the Senate, we should dismiss the articles of impeachment and get back to work on all the things that aren’t getting done.”
Pelosi has not said when she plans to send the articles to the Senate, but has instead demanded that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell agree to the Democrats’ terms before she does.
McConnell has made it clear that the Senate GOP will move forward with the trial, and its subsequent acquittal, “without her” if necessary.
‘Judicial Watch will insist, in court if necessary, that states follow federal law to clean up their voting rolls…’

(Ben Sellers, Liberty Headlines) A year to the date that Judicial Watch reported it had forced California to clean roughly 1.5 million inactive voters off its rolls, the government accountability watchdog said that it had identified another 2.5 million “extra” voters.
Last week, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton announced the results of a recent data analysis using records released by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission.
Nationwide, it found 378 counties that had more registered voters than citizens over the age of 18.
“Dirty voting rolls can mean dirty elections,” Fitton said in a statement, “and Judicial Watch will insist, in court if necessary, that states follow federal law to clean up their voting rolls.”
California Leads the Way
Once again, California is the worst offender with 11 counties in violation.
Conservatives have written off the hope of reclaiming the state, which (apart from the centrist Arnold Schwarzenegger) has followed a trend going increasingly off the deep end of progressive politics for the past three decades.
However, as the 2016 election proved, liberals can still use the state to buffer their supposed popular-vote lead with invalid ballots—and they have actively pursued strategies for doing so, such as ballot harvesting.

Ironically, despite the Left’s national crusade against Republican legislative redistricting, California’s egregious gerrymandering also played a role in shaping the state’s political landscape.
Several of the counties affected by the recent inactive-voter issues were ones that have traditionally been bastions of conservatism.
This includes areas like the anti-“sanctuary state” sanctuary of Stanislaus County, which is home to Modesto, and others in the agriculture-heavy Central Valley.
Also included among the areas in violation of the NVRA is Orange County, the conservative stronghold south of Los Angeles that has been in Democrats’ cross-hairs lately.
While only seven Republicans are currently included in the state’s 52-member delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives, the ouster of prominent conservative incumbents like Reps. Dana Rohrabacher and Ed Royce in the SoCal suburbs—on the front lines of the immigration crisis—has given Democrats hope of claiming even more seats in the elections to come.
Meanwhile, as Republicans take flight to “redder pastures,” their votes are being left behind for someone else, according to Judicial Watch’s analysis.
Targeting the Battleground States
The four other states identified as having major voter-roll issues are all ones that, until recently, had been considered red.
Now, however, all are either blue states or ones that the Left considers “up for grabs.”
As the Trump administration also plans to draw from publicly available information, such as comparing DMV and voter records, to complete its count of legal versus illegal residents in the upcoming census, the odds of something going awry as the result of inaccurate records is fairly strong.
Two of the states in question (North Carolina and Pennsylvania) swung for Trump in 2016 but are at serious risk of flipping in the upcoming election.
The others (Virginia and Colorado) have only recently moved into the blue column, largely based on the migration into major urban areas.

Not coincidentally, the counties representing those states on Judicial Watch’s list happen to have an outsize influence in the state’s leftward political shifts.
The Washington, DC, exurb of Fairfax—one of Virginia’s largest and most affluent counties, and home to many deep-state bureaucrats—has long been the staging ground of Democrat electoral shenanigans.
The last to count its ballots on election day, it has been a difference-maker in close calls such as the state’s controversial 2013 race that put former Clinton stooge Terry McAuliffe in the governor’s mansion.
Also elected in 2013 by a razor-thin margin—only after a bag of misplaced ballots was found in the trunk of a car in a Fairfax park—was the state’s current attorney general, Mark Herring.
Since Democrats successfully flipped the state’s General Assembly last November, Herring is now leading Virginia’s current gun-confiscation efforts and other measures to enforce a newly radicalized leftist agenda.
Jefferson County, Colorado, meanwhile, lies on the western outskirts of Denver, at the ridge of the Rocky Mountains .
The 7th Congressional District largely comprises it went Democrat in 2007, after GOP Rep. Bob Beauprez resigned to run for governor, and has remained that way since, growing bluer with each passing election.
Putting the Pressure On
Judicial Watch said it sent notice-of-violation letters to the counties it found in potential NVRA noncompliance.
In addition to the massive California settlement last year, Fitton said that the group’s lawsuits have aided cleanups in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio—with the latter resulting from a Supreme Court ruling.
“It is common sense that voters who die or move away be removed from the voting rolls,” he said.
But some areas—such as San Diego, with 117 percent of its population registered to vote—continue to resist.
Fitton went into more depth about Judicial Watch’s efforts during his weekly video update last week, which also addressed Democrats’ efforts to falsely claim recent events in Baghdad as President Donald Trump’s Benghazi, and the organization’s lawsuit to expose the so-called Ukraine whistleblower’s deep-state ties.
‘They let anybody who the cat dragged in call themselves a progressive. There’s no standard…’
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez / IMAGE: Hot 97
(Claire Russel, Liberty Headlines) Rep. Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-N.Y., said that if she were in any other country, she wouldn’t be in the same political party as former Vice President Joe Biden.
Ocasio–Cortez, a self-proclaimed Democratic socialist who has endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., for president, told New York magazine that she and Biden share little in common when it comes to policy goals.
“Oh, God. In any other country, Joe Biden and I would not be in the same party, but in America, we are,” she explained.
Ocasio–Cortez and other members of ‘The Squad‘ have sought to use hyperbole and polemic—by proposing extremist measures such as the outlandish Green New Deal and the People’s Justice Guarantee—to drive the party to the fringes.
Many of the ideas they borrow have come directly from the International Communist Party and other pro-Marxist organizations.
They hope, by comparison, to normalize once-radical liberals, making them appear more moderate and centrist within the mainstream of political thought.
But “AOC” has taken it a step farther by complaining that even her own party-members are too right-wing.
The Democratic Party caters too much to the moderates and centrists, she said, specifically referencing the vulnerable Democratic representatives in swing districts Trump won in 2016.
Ocasio–Cortez then compared herself to the conservative Tea Party, suggesting that the popular grassroots uprising in response to Obama’s abuses of power had driven conservatives to the Right.
“For so long, when I first got in, people were like, ‘Oh, are you going to be basically a Tea Party of the Left?’ And what people don’t realize is that there is a Tea Party of the Left, but it’s on the Right edges, the most conservative parts of the Democratic Party,” she claimed, without evidence.
It’s still taboo to criticize the Democratic Party, she said, but there are a growing number of young representatives willing to speak up.
“I think I have created more room for dissent, and we’re learning to stretch our wings a little bit on the Left,” she said.
Ocasio–Cortez also complained that the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which is made up of some of the Democratic Party’s more extreme members, is not selective enough.
“They let anybody who the cat dragged in call themselves a progressive. There’s no standard,” she said.
Ironically, the freshman Democrat frequently claims to be above party politics. She has blasted other Democratic candidates for accepting big money donations, but even she cashed a check from billionaire Tom Steyer when she ran for Congress in 2018.
Still, Ocasio–Cortez continues to push for Democratic “purity tests” while also trying to downplay her own radicalism.
“For anyone who accuses us for instituting purity tests—it’s called having values,” she said at a Bernie Sanders rally. “It’s called giving a damn. It’s called having standards for your conduct to not be funded by billionaires but to be funded by the people.”

‘We will charge them sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever…’
(Claire Russel, Liberty Headlines) After an Iranian lawmaker threatened to attack the White House, placing an $80 million bounty on President Donald Trump’s head, Trump said the U.S. would respond in a “disproportionate manner” if Iran tried to act.
Iran vowed to retaliate after the U.S. took out one of its top terrorists, Qassem Soleimani.
“We can attack the White House itself, we can respond to them on the American soil. We have the power, and God willing we will respond in an appropriate time,” said Abolfazl Abutorabi, a member of the Iranian parliament, according to the Daily Mail.
Iranian lawmakers openly chanted “death to America” during an open session of parliament on Sunday, and during Soleimani’s funeral, an official said that they would give $80 million to the person able to take out out Trump.
— Imam of Peace / Pray for Peace… (@Imamofpeace) January 5, 2020
“Iran has 80 million inhabitants. Based on the Iranian population, we want to raise $80million which is a reward for those who get close to the head of President Trump,” the official said, according to the Mirror.
Trump, however, seemed unfazed by Iran’s threats.
In a tweet, he put his enemies in Iran and in Congress on notice that he was prepared to do whatever was necessary to defend America from further aggression, regardless of the rhetoric against him.
These Media Posts will serve as notification to the United States Congress that should Iran strike any U.S. person or target, the United States will quickly & fully strike back, & perhaps in a disproportionate manner. Such legal notice is not required, but is given nevertheless!
“We’ve spent a lot of money in Iraq,” Trump told reporters. ”We have a very extraordinarily expensive air base that’s there. It cost billions of dollars to build. … We’re not leaving unless they pay us back for it. We will charge them sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever. It’ll make Iranian sanctions look somewhat tame.”
“America has always sanctioned and besieged Black and Brown bodies both at home and abroad,” Kaepernick added in a follow-up tweet. “America militarism is the weapon wielded by American imperialism, to enforce its policing and plundering of the non white world.”
Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-SC, responded to Kaepernick’s comments and reminded him that Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American soldiers.
“Yeah, he’s a loser on and off the field,” Graham told Fox News. “He has no idea what the Iranian regime has done to the region, he has no idea that they have 600 American deaths as a result of IEDs made in Iran and used in Iraq.”
Colin Kaepernick/IMAGE: YouTube
Kaepernick is “un-American” and “racist,” Graham continued.
“He’s a racist. If you’re looking for for racism in America, Mr. Kaepernick, look in the mirror. Your country is not the problem! It’s the Iranian and you’re so blinded by your hatred of Trump that you can’t see the difference between who we are and who the Ayatollah is,” Graham said.
“AOC doesn’t know anything about the law of armed conflict, obviously,” he said, noting that Trump does not need “congressional authorization” to “defend troops in the field in harm’s way.”
‘Maybe she wishes Obama were still here to bow before the Ayatollah…’
Ilhan Omar / IMAGE: NBC News via Youtube
(Joshua Paladino, Liberty Headlines) Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., wrote in a tweet that she is “outraged” by the U.S. military’s killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani as she downplayed his role as the leader of a terrorist organization that has slaughtered hundreds of Americans.
Omar called Soleimani, who led Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, a “foreign official,” even though the U.S. government considers the Quds Force a terrorist organization, Yellowhammer News reported.
“We are outraged the president would assassinate a foreign official, possibly setting off another war without Congressional authorization and has zero plan to deal with the consequences,” Omar said, without evidence. “So what if Trump wants war, knows this leads to war and needs the distraction? Real question is, will those with congressional authority step in and stop him? I know I will.”
Following Omar’s comments, Rep. Bradley Byrne, R-Ala., questioned the Muslim Representative’s allegiance to the United States.
“Ilhan Omar diminished 9/11, opposes Israel, and now she is upset that President Trump took out a murderous terrorist – at this point we have to wonder what side is she on?” Byrne said, referring to Omar’s description of 9/11 as “some people who did something” and her opposition to the U.S.-Israel alliance.
“Maybe she wishes Obama were still here to bow before the Ayatollah, but here in America we serve the Constitution of the U.S. first and swear in front of God to defend this country and its people,” Byrne said. “And that’s exactly what President Trump is doing.”
‘Congress has to assert itself and determine exactly what our Iran policy is…’
(Claire Russel, Liberty Headlines) In the aftermath of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani’s death in an airstrike authorized Thursday by President Donald Trump, the Democrats have suddenly decided they care about congressional authorization.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., griped that it was a brash “escalation” taken “without the consultation of Congress.”
“The Administration has conducted tonight’s strikes in Iraq targeting high-level Iranian military officials and killing Iranian Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani without an Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) against Iran,” she said in a statement.
Most of the Democratic Party echoed her characterization, including several presidential candidates. Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., said Soleimani’s death could lead to an unnecessary war with Iran, and criticized Trump for failing to receive congressional approval.
Most notably, however, former deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes, who worked under the Obama administration on the controversial Iran nuclear deal, declared that Congress must now “assert itself and determine exactly what our Iran policy is.”
Congress has to assert itself and determine exactly what our Iran policy is. Did we mean to do this? Do we have any plan for what comes next? What is the legal basis for all this?
Of course, Rhodes didn’t care at all about congressional authority when he pushed through the Iran deal, which both chambers of Congress vigorously opposed. The deal was effectively a treaty, but neither Obama nor Rhodes bothered to consult the Senate before implementing it. Indeed, Rhodes has continued to defend the deal as a success, despite its complete and total failure in the region.
The Iran Deal successfully rolled back Iran’s nuclear program and averted a war. Trump’s decision to pull out has led to Iran resuming its nuclear program and started this dangerous cycle of escalation that we are still on. https://t.co/0Ao7rlOLoE
Rhodes then admitted that the real point of his complaint isn’t the supposed breach of power, but the man who yielded it.
Does anyone think Donald Trump is equipped to handle a complex, enduring, international crisis that could play out in many countries and demand expertise, rigorous process, and judicious decision-making?
‘The only other person that was a better salesman right now is when we had President Obama…’
IMAGE: CBS Evening News via Youtube
(Claire Russel, Liberty Headlines) Gun sales in Virginia have skyrocketed since state Democrats, newly in control of the General Assembly, introduced gun-control legislation that would restrict gun owners’ rights.
One firearms store owner said his sales have gone up 200% since the controversy started, and more of his customers are paying cash, reports the Washington Examiner.
“The only other person that was a better salesman right now is when we had President Obama,” said Jerry Rapp, owner of SpecDive Tactical, in Alexandria.
“Every time [Obama] turned around he was going to ban something or make something illegal,” Rapp said.
“But even that isn’t even close to the amount of sales we’re selling right now of magazines, of guns, of every kind of gun from pistol, rifle, shotguns, to AR platforms, and ammunition,” he continued. “We can’t keep it in stock.”
Rapp said his customers are increasingly concerned about their privacy, and now prefer to purchase supplies with cash rather than credit cards so their purchases can’t be tracked.
State Democrats proposed a total ban on “assault-style” weapons, restrictions on magazine capacity, universal background checks and more.
In response, most of the counties in the state took steps to designate themselves as 2nd Amendment “sanctuaries,” vowing not to enforce any anti-Second Amendment legislation the state government passes.
“I’m not going to lock up a large part of Virginia,” said state Senate Majority Leader Dick Saslaw, D-Fairfax.
But Rapp said the threat has not yet passed. One of the overlooked parts of the Democrats’ proposal is its limits on-course training, he said.
“From a gun place, the biggest [proposed legislation] that affects me right now—because we’re a training company that sells guns—is if you are a trainer or if you train your son or daughter, that you could become a felon,” Rapp said.
‘If prosecution doesn’t proceed with [a] case, it gets dismissed…’
(Claire Russel, Liberty Headlines) Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., vowed to introduce a a measure to dismiss the House Democrats’ articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, arguing that the articles are not supported by concrete evidence and are therefore irrelevant.
The lack of evidence is why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has delayed in sending the official articles to the Senate for a trial, Hawley said.
“Dems said impeachment was URGENT,” he wrote on Twitter. “Now they don’t want to have a trial, because they have no evidence.”
Hawley, who previously served as his state’s attorney general, said that in a true court of law, efforts like those of the Democrats to delay due process would not be tolerated.
“If prosecution doesn’t proceed with [a] case, it gets dismissed,” Hawley said. “So on Monday, I will introduce measure to dismiss this bogus impeachment for lack of prosecution.”
This will expose Dems’ circus for what it is: a fake impeachment, abuse of the Constitution, based on no evidence. If Dems won’t proceed with trial, bogus articles should be dismissed and @realDonaldTrump fully cleared
Hawley said he will introduce a proposal that “will take form of motion to update Senate impeachment rules to account for this unprecedented attempt to obstruct Senate trial.”
Far-left Harvard law professor Lawrence Tribe—who has been credited with crafting Pelosi’s strategy to withhold the articles—responded by calling the idea “loony” with “no substance.”
Hey Dems, this is the guy who got you into this jam by recommending you withhold the Articles from Senate. Now he’s literally making up constitutional provisions. Constitution says nothing about “filing” (Tribe’s word) Articles in Senate or otherwise giving House power over trial https://t.co/Vje6gWlxjz
Democratic leadership has said it will not pass the articles of impeachment onto the Senate until Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., agrees to certain trial rules, like allowing testimony from minority-chosen witnesses.
Ironically, Democrats refused to extend the same courtesy to their House GOP colleagues during the investigative phase of the impeachment effort.
Regardless, many Republicans doubted that Pelosi’s delay tactic would last long.
“She will yield,” said Marc Short, the chief of staff to Vice President Mike Pence. “There’s no way she can hold this position. We think her case is going nowhere.”
‘Dear #Iran, The USA has disrespected your country, your flag, your people. 52% of us humbly apologize…’
Editor’s note: Article contains profanity.
(Claire Russel, Liberty Headlines) Hollywood activists Rose McGowan and John Cusack attacked President Donald Trump for ordering the airstrike that killed Iran’s second in command, Qassem Soleimani, a dangerous terrorist responsible for the deaths of hundreds of U.S. soldiers in the Middle East.
Cusack, best known for his work in 1980s films like “Say Anything” and quirky indie fare like “Being John Malkovich,” claimed Trump is going “full fascist 101 mode” and that he won’t stop until he “starts a war.”
Trump in full fascist 101 mode-,steal and lie – untill there’s nothing left and start a war –
He’s so idiotic he doesn’t know he just attacked Iran
And that’s not like anywhere else
Actress Rose McGowan, best known for her work as a #MeToo victim, went even farther and apologized to Iran for Trump’s “disrespect.”
Dear #Iran, The USA has disrespected your country, your flag, your people. 52% of us humbly apologize. We want peace with your nation. We are being held hostage by a terrorist regime. We do not know how to escape. Please do not kill us. #Soleimanipic.twitter.com/YE54CqGCdr
After facing heavy backlash online, McGowan doubled down and claimed that while Soleimani was “an evil evil man who did evil evil things,” the U.S. is “morally corrupt and acts illegally.”
Of course #Soleimani was an evil evil man who did evil evil things. But that at this moment is not the fucking point. The United States is morally corrupt and acts illegally. It is only logical to appeal to Iran’s pride by apologizing. I’m taking one for the team. #TeamStayAlive
She then admitted that she had “freaked out because we may have an impending war,” but defended her “right” to “freak out on those in power.”
Ok, so I freaked out because we may have any impending war. Sometimes it’s okay to freak out on those in power. It’s our right. That is what so many Brave soldiers have fought for. That is democracy. I do not want any more American soldiers killed. That’s it.
