Republicans Advance Resolution to Expel Fire-Alarm Hoaxer from House

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) House Republicans have prepared a resolution that would expel radical “Squad” Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D–N.Y., from Congress after he pulled a fire alarm to prevent the Stopgap bill from being signed — an attempt that turned out to be unsuccessful.

Lawmakers who looked at what happened said that the act was a felony, according to Slay News.

As a result, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., authored the resolution seeking to expel Bowman.

“This is the United States Congress, not a New York City high school. This action warrants expulsion & I’m introducing a resolution to do just that,” she said.

The resolution will be formally filed on Monday when the House is next in session.

Expulsion is the most serious form of disciplinary action available to the House for its members, Slay News reported. Only five members have ever been expelled in the entire history of the House.

The House Administration Committee and the U.S. Capitol Police [USCP] started the investigation of Bowman’s action.

In addition to the resolution and investigation, Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Mich., also started working on a motion to censure Bowman. Even though censure is a serious disciplinary procedure, it is not as severe as expulsion.

“USCP had to waste resources investigating rather than actually keeping the Capitol safe. The House must hold Rep. Bowman accountable,” she said.

After he got caught, the only “excuse” that Bowman was able to come up with was that he “thought the alarm would open the door,” for which he was ridiculed by the public and conservatives, in particular.

To save Bowman from this situation, his team circulated a memo of talking points for his fellow Democrats that called Republican lawmakers “Nazis.”

“I believe Congressman Bowman when he says this was an accident. Republicans need to instead focus their energy on the Nazi members of their party before anything else,” the offending passage said.

After conservatives discovered that, Bowman’s office tried to pull back the talking points, with Bowman himself claiming his staff had slipped in the Nazi reference without him knowing about it, the New York Post reported.

“I condemn the use of the term Nazi out of its precise definition. It is important to specify the term Nazi to refer to members of the Nazi party & neo-Nazis,” he said.

Zelenskyy Suddenly Finds Money to Fund His Own Weapons After US Aid Slips

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) In a significant shift, Ukrainian officials have announced their intention to manufacture their own weapons, driven by a massive reduction in foreign donations, particularly from the United States.

This decision was reached during a crucial meeting of Ukrainian government officials in Kyiv, where President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged he found money in the federal budget to fund the manufacture of some weapons, as reported by Politico on Monday.

This decision followed the passing of a clean stopgap funding bill by the U.S. government, which did not allocate additional taxpayer funds to Ukraine. Some Republican lawmakers cited concerns about corruption within the Ukrainian military.

Meanwhile, some world leaders are concerned about sacrificing their own weapons. Reflecting the growing frustration among foreign nations over Ukraine, one European official acknowledged, “We cannot keep on giving from our own stockpiles.”

Zelenskyy had reportedly met with military officials at a hotel conference room where he made the announcement. His administration has been marred by corruption, forcing him to fire his top defense leader, who was scheduled to meet with high-ranking Biden officials.

“Ukraine has long been an industrial giant, producing heavy machinery and engines for Russian navy ships and military helicopters, along with armored vehicles, aircraft, and small arms,” Politico reported.

“Many of those production facilities have been damaged in the war. Still, Ukrainian officials are looking to Western defense firms for commitments that they’re willing to invest and build in Ukraine even before the fighting stops,” the news outlet added.

Notably, President Joe Biden admitted in July that the U.S. military was running low on ammunition, which prompted him to greenlight the donation of cluster munitions, a move criticized by several world countries because of the danger posed to civilians.

In an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, Biden explained, “The Ukrainians are running out of ammunition. This is a war relating to munitions and they’re running out of that ammunition, and we’re low on them.”

Gaetz Files Motion to Vacate Against McCarthy, Shifting Fate to Dems

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) House Democrats are set to meet on Tuesday to deliberate on whether they will come to the defense of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., after Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., filed a motion to vacate against the House GOP leader.

While McCarthy still maintains the backing of a majority of House Republicans, a vocal faction of MAGA-aligned members and some Democrats staunchly oppose his recent actions. Gaetz’s Monday motion could effectively drive McCarthy to the arms of the Democrats.

In response, McCarthy posted on Twitter, “Bring it on.” Gaetz’s motion came in response to McCarthy’s controversial decision to collaborate with Democrats in passing a clean stopgap government funding bill, effectively sacrificing his own legislation, which included funding for the southern border.

By Monday night, Gaetz told reporters he had enough votes to oust McCarthy unless Democrats save him. Earlier in the day, the Florida Congressman also accused McCarthy of plotting a secret deal with Democrats to unleash more taxpayer money for Ukraine.

“What was the secret side deal that @SpeakerMcCarthy made with Joe Biden on Ukraine?” Gaetz demanded on Monday. “Members of the Republican Party might vote differently on a motion to vacate if they heard the answer to that question.”

The motion placed House Democrats in a dilemma of their own. While Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., has not formally announced a stance, reports from the New York Times suggest that some Democrats may be willing to lend their support to McCarthy in exchange for more concessions.

Notably, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., a prominent self-proclaimed Democratic socialist, has unequivocally declared her intention to vote against McCarthy.

“My vote at the beginning of this term for Speaker of the House was for Hakeem Jeffries, and I do not intend on voting for a Republican Speaker of the House,” Ocasio-Cortez told CNN host Jake Tapper on Sunday.

However, she also acknowledged the potential for Democrats to strike a deal with McCarthy to preserve his position.

Newsom’s Appointment of Laphonza Butler to Senate Could be Illegal

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Gov. Gavin Newsom’s recent appointment of Laphonza Butler, the president of the leftist EMILY’s List PAC, to the vacant California seat of the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein could be illegal.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., raised concerns on Monday that this appointment, following Feinstein’s passing on Friday, may have violated California’s constitution because Butler, a black lesbian activist, does not reside in the Golden State.

Speaking to Fox News, Issa expressed his reservations, stating “We’re not talking about the question of majority, we’re talking about 38 million Californians who have an absolute right to have somebody who puts California first – not who puts the District of Columbia first or Maryland, where she’s a resident, first.”

Issa continued, “It’s not that he couldn’t find somebody, instead, [Newsom] chose the most progressive African American woman he could find, seemingly for political purposes.”

According to FEC forms and the EMILY List’s own website, Butler allegedly resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, which is nearly 3,000 miles away from California.

Issa hinted that he intends to send a letter to Newsom, Senate leaders and Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., to express his concerns about the residency of Butler, a requirement for those seeking a Senate seat in California.

In response to these allegations, a spokesperson for Newsom claimed that Butler moved near Washington, D.C., in 2021 and reportedly owns a home in California. It is further stated that upon her swearing-in, Butler intends to change her voter registration to California.

However, Issa remains skeptical, asserting, “The quid pro quo of agreeing to pay your California taxes in return for becoming a senator is not an acceptable bargain,” Issa said. “That’s a privilege the rest of us don’t get.”

To be eligible for a Senate seat in California, candidates must be U.S. citizens, residents of the state, and registered voters there, Fox reported.

Shortly after Newsom announced Butler as his pick to replace Feinstein, Butler edited her biography on the EMILY’s List website to remove any mention of her residency in Maryland.

Newsom’s decision to appoint Butler comes after days of speculation. In 2021, he had promised to appoint a black woman to the Senate seat, following Kamala Harris’s election as vice president.

Some critics have raised the possibility of Harris returning to the Senate as a Newsom appointee, which could have potentially paved the way for Newsom to be selected as Joe Biden’s vice president ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Butler is expected to hold the Senate seat until the 2024 presidential election when the seat will be up for election. Newsom reportedly placed no prerequisites on the appointment, which means that she could seek a full term.

Notably, Reps. Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, and Barbara Lee are currently vying for the opportunity to fill the seat permanently.

In announcing Butler’s appointment, Newsom stated, “As we mourn the enormous loss of Sen. Feinstein, the very freedoms she fought for – reproductive freedom, equal protection, and safety from gun violence – have never been under greater assault.”

He added, “Laphonza will carry the baton left by Sen. Feinstein, continue to break glass ceilings, and fight for all Californians in Washington, D.C.”

N.Y. Leaders Hochul, Adams Ratchet Up Attacks on Biden’s Open Borders

(Headline USA) New York Gov. Kathy Hochul came out against the Biden administration this week, arguing that the southern border is “too open,” the Daily Mail reported.

As her state experiences a massive influx of migrants traveling from southern border states, Hochul argued President Joe Biden needs to do more to secure the immigration process and “limit” who is being allowed into the country.

“We want them to have a limit on who can come across the border. It is too open right now,” Hochul told CBS News this weekend.

“People coming from all over the world are finding their way through simply saying they need asylum,” she continued. “And the majority of them seem to be ending up in the streets of New York. And that is a real problem for New York City, 125,000 newly arrived individuals. And we are being taxed.”

Hochul added that she is proud New York is “one of the most diverse places on Earth because of our welcoming nature,” but admitted “there has to be some limits in place.”

The governor then tried to blame congressional Republicans for the lack of border enforcement.

“Congress has to put more controls at the border and not in this budget threat, shutdown threat, talk about eliminating positions for Border Patrol when we actually need to double or quadruple those numbers. So, get back to work and do your jobs,” she claimed.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, another Democrat, also channeled Republicans on immigration this weekend, with one of his aides calling for the federal government to “close the border” completely.

“We need the federal government, the Congress members, the Senate and the president to do its job: close the borders,” Adams’ senior advisor Ingrid Lewis–Martin said during an interview on PIX11. “And until you close the borders, you need to come up with a full-on decompression strategy where you can take all of our migrants and move them throughout all of our 50 states.”

White House Bans Admin Officials From Conferences That Promote Fossil Fuels

(Headline USA) The White House issued a memo last month prohibiting administration officials from traveling to international events that encourage the use of fossil fuels, according to Fox News.

The guidance, developed by the National Security Council and sent to Energy Department staffers on Sept. 15, explained that those working in the administration must publicly align themselves with President Joe Biden’s energy agenda.

“This guidance sets out a presumption that agencies and departments will pursue international energy engagement that advances clean energy projects,” wrote Deputy Energy Secretary David Turk. “It also outlines a process for seeking limited exceptions to pursue carbon-intensive engagements on a justified geostrategic imperative or energy-for-development/energy access basis.”

The guidance specifically prohibits “any U.S. government engagement related to unabated or partially abated coal generation.”

Other “carbon-intensive international energy engagements” that are banned include those “directly related and dedicated to the production, transportation, or consumption of carbon-intensive fuels that would lead to additional greenhouse gas emissions,” the memo added.

The memo is in line with the rest of Biden’s aggressive “clean energy” agenda, which Republicans have blamed for skyrocketing gas prices and lingering inflation rates.

“The Biden Administration cannot continue to treat the fossil fuels industry as an enemy,” Daniel Turner, the founder and executive director of Power the Future, said in a statement.

“Millions of people are employed in this industry which powers our entire nation, our military, our national security, and allows Joe Biden to jet off every weekend to his beach house,” Turner added. “This war on American fossil fuels is making us poorer, weaker and more reliant on China and OPEC for our energy.”

Oil executives have also blamed Biden for the record-high gas prices.

“The Biden administration is waging a war against oil that makes it far more difficult to invest in drilling that would boost production and bring down prices,” Chuck Duginski, CEO of Oklahoma-based shale driller Canvas Energy, told the Financial Times over the weekend.

Vote No on Joe: Southern Republicans Invoke Biden in 2023 Governors’ Races

(Headline USA) President Joe Biden’s name won’t appear on the ballot anywhere in 2023, but you wouldn’t know it from the campaigns that Republican candidates for governor are running in Kentucky and Mississippi.

GOP nominees in both states—Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and first-term Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves—are just as likely to mention the hugely unpopular Democrat president as they are to name the person they face in the Nov. 7 general election.

Tying candidates for governor to national political figures is a well-worn strategy but also reflects the particular failings of the 80-year-old leader, whom many, especially in red states, see as the second-worst president in U.S. history after James Buchanan, who bears much of the responsibility for allowing the Civil War to happen.

“If you’re the Republican Party in these states and you’re hoping to generate large voter turnout for your Republican candidate, it makes sense to certainly vilify Joe Biden,” according to Carrie Archie Russell, an expert on southern politics at Vanderbilt University.

As with Buchanan, Biden’s rhetoric has helped to usher in an era of deepening ideological divides. The president himself has often vilified supporters of his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, as “ultra-MAGA” extremists, and has even weaponized the Justice Department to target those who speak out against the leftist agenda.

Even when there’s no evidence to support the claims, such rhetoric allows candidates to create a “mental shortcut for identifying individuals as ‘us’ or ‘them,’” Russell said.

But now, with even members of his own party begining to turn against him as they scramble to replace him in the 2024 election, Biden is getting a dose of his own medicine.

In 2020, then-President Donald Trump won 62% of the vote in Kentucky and 58% in Mississippi in his loss to Biden.

The Kentucky and Mississippi gubernatorial campaigns might well serve as messaging test-drives for next year, when, as of now, Biden is expected to be on the ballot.

And while there’s a Republican incumbent in Mississippi and it’s a Democrat seeking a second term in Kentucky, the competitions bear striking similarities to each other.

First-term Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear is first appeared on the scene as the son of the last Democrat to win the governor’s office, Steve Beshear. He emerged from serving as the state’s attorney general to unseat the incumbent Republican governor, Matt Bevin, four years ago.

In Mississippi, the opponent’s last name also carries additional weight. Democrat Brandon Presley is a cousin of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley. Then again, he may not be quite so eager to have voters associate him with his first name. It has become synonymous with Biden following the viral “Let’s go Brandon” meme, which was used to ridicule the media’s rosy coverage of him early in his presidency.

Beshear has appeared with Biden during times of tragedy, consoling victims of tornadoes and flooding that hit Kentucky. In Mississippi, Reeves put aside anti-Biden rhetoric when he appeared with the president to survey tornado damage in March.

Just as Reeves does in Mississippi, Cameron blames Biden’s economic policies for fueling sharply higher consumer prices that strain family budgets.

“They call it ’Bidenomics.’ I think the rest of us just call it 40-year high, record inflation,” Cameron said during a recent gubernatorial forum hosted by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

Cameron has also set his sights on Biden’s energy policies, saying the results would be devastating in coal-producing Kentucky. The coal industry has declined considerably but is still viewed by many as a cornerstone of the Bluegrass State’s economy.

Biden wants to convert the U.S. economy to renewable energy such as wind and solar power, while turning away from coal and other fossil fuels that produce planet-warming greenhouse gas emissions.

In vowing to push back, Cameron said: “You need somebody that is willing to go against the grain of the far-left and the environmentalists that are trying to destroy our fossil fuels industry.”

In Mississippi, Reeves says the state has momentum under his leadership, with education improvements, the state’s largest income-tax cut, and a low unemployment rate. And he warns the state is under threat from Presley and national Democrats.

“To support him, you’ve got to believe we are on the wrong track,” Reeves said. “You’ve got to believe that our culture is wrong and that our values are bad. You’ve got to think that the state would be better off run by Bennie, Biden and Brandon.”

Bennie is Rep. Bennie Thompson, the only Democrat in Mississippi’s congressional delegation. Thompson was chairman of the House Jan. 6 committee. He is publicly supporting Presley in the governor’s race.

Presley, a utility regulator, says little about Biden, and he chafes at Reeves’s effort to bring national politics into the Mississippi governor’s contest. Instead, Presley consistently tries to tie Reeves to a welfare misspending scandal that developed when Reeves was lieutenant governor and had the power to oversee how the state Department of Human Services was using money.

“Well, I say a vote for him is a vote for the corrupt system in place,” Presley said of Reeves. “A vote for him is a vote for a failing health care system. A vote for him is a vote for the highest sales tax on groceries in America.”

Meanwhile, the man capitalizing on the name of a celebrity cousin he never knew (Elvis died a month after he was born), and who has been dead for nearly half a century, insisted that he didn’t any high-profile help from the other “Brandon.”

“[Y]ou know, I’m my own man,” he said. “Always have been. A vote for Brandon Presley is a vote for Brandon Presley.”

Yale Researchers Begin Human Trials on Airborne mRNA Vaccines

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Researches at Yale University are experimenting with airborne vaccines, which will ostensibly make it possible for people to become vaccinated more easily on a mass scale, Life Site News reported.

Specifically, researches conducted experiments with mRNA vaccines—like the Pfizer COVID jab–to more efficiently deliver the latest experimental jabs to Americans and people across the world.

After experimenting “successfully” on animals, “human trials” will begin soon.

According to Courtney Malo, an editor for Science Translational Medicine, which published the study, the development of airborne mRNA vaccines for humans looks promising.

“The ability to efficiently deliver mRNA to the lung would have applications for vaccine development, gene therapy, and more,” Malo wrote. “Here, Suberi et al. showed that such mRNA delivery can be accomplished by encapsulating mRNAs of interest within optimized poly(amine-co-ester) polyplexes [nanoparticles].”

The study, moreover, successfully immunized mice against the targeted diseases.

The “science community,” according to Malo, is abuzz as the potential new “delivery system for vaccine applications” is explored.

One can, of course, imagine the various nefarious uses to which the airborne vaccines could be put. Aside from using airborne viruses, such methods could make mass vaccination viable, and could be used to force people into getting vaccinated without their consent.

Mark Saltzman, the cellular and molecular physiologist who led the study, admitted as much, noting that airborne vaccines could be particularly useful for mass vaccination.

This “new method of delivery could radically change the way people are vaccinated,” he said, emphasizing the efficiency with which large populations could receive vaccines and boosters.

According to the report, the federal government has run experiments on large cities before.

In the 1950s, the government ran “Operation Sea Spray” near San Francisco, to see how susceptible the city might be to a bioweapons attack.

While convinced that they were using a harmless chemical, it spread throughout the city, with thousands of residents inhaling the microbes, many developing urinary tract infections as a result.

At least one person died, and some have claimed that the chemical release altered permanently the region’s “microbial ecology.”

Shortly thereafter, San Francisco began its descent into the leftist utopia that it is now known as.

Iranian Diplomat Admits Role in Notorious 1983 Terror Attack on Marine Barracks

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Forty years after the fact, the Iranian media let slip that the state played a substantial role in the infamous terror bombing that killed more than 240 American soldiers, Fox News reported.

The news was broken by Iran’s diplomat in Lebanon, Sayyed Issa Tabatabai, who is a representative of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Lebanon.

According to translations of Tabatabai’s interview, he said that he was a pro-terror informant leading up to the deadly Beirut attacks.

“I quickly went to Lebanon and provided what was needed in order to [carry out] martyrdom operations in the place where the Americans and Israelis were,” he said, adding that his contributions allowed the Iranian Revolution succeed.

“I had no part in establishing the [political] party [Hezbollah], but God made it possible for me to continue the military activity with the group that had cooperated with us prior to the Revolution’s victory.”

For Tabatabai, Iran has succeeded because of the revolutionary “willingness to become martyrs.”

The admission comes as Iran seems increasingly more confident in its ability to push back against America’s influence in the Middle East following the Biden administration’s disasterous withdrawal from Afghanistan and other foreign-policy fiascos.

Iran has recently strengthened its ties to foreign super-powere including Russia and China as part of the BRICS alliance, which is likely soon to have controle over roughly 85% of the global energy supply.

Nonetheless, the Biden State Department has seemed particularly overeager to negotiate with the rogue Islamic republic, even offering generous terms in a recent hostage negotiation, which allowe Iran to unfreeze billions of dollars in assets that it will likely put toward funding additional terrorism in the region.

According to Michael Rubin, an Iran expert for the American Enterprise Institute, leaders in Iran have been surprised by the softness of the American approach to diplomacy with them so far.

“Americans have astonished both Iranians and the victims of Iranian terrorism with the diplomatic contortions undertaken to avoid holding Iran to account,” he noted. “Now that the supreme leader’s representative has confessed, the questions are: (1) Will Americans who carried water for Iranian terrorism apologize? (2) Will Iran pay compensation to the victims of their terror?”

Banafsheh Zand, an Iranian–American expert on the Iranian regime, argued that the interview was a sign of serious discord in the upper echelons of Iranian leadership.

For Tabatabai to take responsibility for the terrorism revealed that he was sure “that his superiors would not or could not punish him,” Zand added. “[O]therwise he would have self-censored and skipped over major details.”

Va. Gov. Glenn Youngkin Hosting Fancy Retreat to Woo GOP Megadonors

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Virginia’s Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin planned to schmooze wealthy GOP donors by inviting them to an upscale weekend at a Virginia Beach resort, where the topic of a last-ditch Establishment challenge to former President Donald Trump’s dominating 2024 presidential run was almost certain to be on everyone’s mind.

Funded by his Spirit of Virginia political action committee, the weekend vacation package at the historic Cavalier Resort featured fine-dining opportunities, stunning views, and meet-and-greets with the man himself, according to the Washington Post.

Youngkin’s PAC hosted a similar event—known as the “Red Vest Retreat”—last year. However, this year’s event comes ahead of a statewide midterm election, which could significantly boost or diminish Youngkin’s political stock.

The event will take place in the middle of October, three weeks prior to the General Assembly races where Republicans need to pick up at least two seats to gain a majority in the 40-member state Senate.

Meanwhile, they hope to retain a razor-thin lead in the 100-seat House of Delegates, where they have a three-seat advantage, but where there are currently five vacant seats.

According to the Washington Post, Democrats had enjoyed a fundraising advantage, but Youngin’s PAC was helping significantly to close the gap.

The upcoming retreat will cost would-be attendees six figures up front, just to get in the door. The hotel boasts 600 beachfront rooms, but only 85 in the historic portion.

“I know that [the Youngkin campaign was] concerned that we may not be large enough to be able to handle the group in the historic portion,” said developer Bruce Thompson.

“There’s a lot of folks that have indicated that they would like to attend something that might be influential with respect to the governor’s decision… [regarding] what he might do in the future,” Thompson added.

Youngkin publicly insisted that his focus remains on Virginia, and announced plans to seek a 15 week abortion ban with exceptions.

While some of the attendees reportedly share a similar focus on the state of Virginia, many of the ones with deeper pockets have their sights set on the highest office in the land and hope to push Youngkin into a presidential campaign.

An op-ed last week by veteran journalist Robert Costa revealed that donors including recently retired Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch may be on Team Glenn if he were to express interest.

Youngkin’s staff did not directly respond to the comments, but posted to Twitter—emphasizing the governor’s focus on state-level elections.

“As we’ve said many times before, Glenn Youngkin is solely focused on our Virginia legislative elections… which are already underway,” the post read. “Voters started casting ballots last week.”
