NASA Rover Spots a Doorway in Martian Rock Formation

'They're telling us that this is some kind of natural formation? B.S.! ... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) NASA‘s Curiosity rover took a photo of what appears to be a doorway carved into a rock face on Mars, giving rise to alien speculations from stargazers who noted that a Congressional meeting on UFOs is slated for this week.

The image was captured as the rover ascended Mount Sharp and scientists believe this a natural formation, reported the Citizen Free Press.

“It’s just the space between two fractures in a rock,” said Ashwin Vasavada, who is a project scientist in the Mars Science Laboratory.

Vasavada said the fracture is about a foot tall, and that at one point the sand dunes that the rover Curiosity is climbing were compacted together. As the surface of the planet shifted, they were buried and unburied, causing the rock to buckle and fracture.

Illusionist and television personality Uri Geller took to twitter after the announcement to combat the claim that this is a natural occurrence and noted that there is a congressional meeting Tuesday regarding UFOs.

The video shows him in front of the picture, which is displayed upside down.

“NASA released this picture… it clearly shows a doorway. I’ve studied this very carefully and my conclusion… of course its a door, c’mon!” Geller said. “They’re telling us that this is some kind of natural formation? B.S.!”

“This is not a natural formation—look, doorway cut out probably by laser, high technology, extra terrestrial, cut this out, there are stairs going down there.”

“This is incredible,” he continued. “And today, congress [is meeting]. The whole UFO community is going to learn something really fascinating.”

Before wrapping up the video, Geller mentions that he personally had an alien encounter when he was 5-years-old but does not explain the circumstances around his experience.

“I love you all, and very soon they will land,” he concluded.
