(Headline USA) Multiple Democrats have campaigned alongside a far-left activist with a history of anti-Semitism and close ties to so-called Squad member Rashida Tlaib.
Maher Abdel Qader, who currently serves as a vice president at AI Engineers, has repeatedly shared anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, including a 2016 article that alleged Jews were “satanic” and “practice subversion and treason,” and a video that questioned whether 6 million Jews actually died in the Holocaust, according to Fox News.
“Research the truth about the Holocaust, and you’ll definitely start to question what you thought you knew,” the video’s narrator says.
In 2017, he shared a graphic that included the names of dozens of Jewish members of Congress and suggested they have dual loyalty to Israel and the U.S.
In several other posts, Qader insisted that Jews are not actually from Israel and accused Israeli settlers of training children “to terrorize Palestinian civilians.”
Despite this, multiple Democrat officials have allowed Qader to host events for them. He hosted multiple fundraisers for New York City Mayor Eric Adams just last year. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison also campaigned alongside Qader, who threw a fundraiser for him in New York City.
Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., took part in a virtual Zoom fundraiser with Qader last September, and Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., has participated in multiple events with him. Qader has donated at least $6,500 to Tlaib’s campaign since 2018. Tlaib even presented Qader with a medal in 2018 as a sign of gratitude for his help with her campaign.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Maher Abdel Qader … for coming in from out of town to work a polling location. It meant so much to have you … by my side,” Tlaib wrote in a 2018 Facebook post.
