Michigan University to Have 5 Different Graduations for ‘Diversity’

'There will be no special celebrations for straight white people...'

(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Grand Valley State University, an alleged institution of higher learning located in Allendale, Michigan, will host five different graduations for five different ‘minority’ groups.

The five groups honored with their own graduation ceremony are Asian, black, Latino, Native American and an “LGBTQIA+,” according to The Blaze.

Daily Wire host Matt Walsh, a devout Roman Catholic, noted an absent population.

There will be no special celebrations for straight white people,” he wrote.

The LGBT special event is to be called “The Lavender Graduation.” It will be, mockingly, held in the Pere Marquette room at GVSU. Father James Marquette was a 17th-century Jesuit missionary who founded two Michigan cities. Father Marquette spent most of his life converting the natives of the Great Lakes region of America.

The sexual degenerates will also receive their own award at their special ceremony. Their gay pride center, “the Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center” will give one student the “Outstanding LGBTQIA+ Graduate Award.”

The recipient will be “a member of the LGBTQIA+ community … who has excelled in leadership and academically during their time at Grand Valley.”

GVSU defended its decision to have a Native American only graduation.

The University website reads that the graduation produces “an opportunity to offer appreciation to those who were stewards of the land on which our beautiful campus was built, long before most of our ancestors arrived.”

Specifically, the website honors “the Three Fires People, who include the Ojibwa, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi, on whose ancestral lands we now live and work.”

GVSU seems to be following in the footsteps of Michigan’s flagship University. The University of Michigan spends $18.1 million annually on diversity, equity and inclusion administrators.

Wokeism is also taking over Universities outside of Michigan. The New York State University system now requires all students to pass a DEI course before graduating.
