McCarthy Says FBI Will Release File Exposing Biden Bribery Scheme

'I believe after this call, we will get this document...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., torched the FBI’s unwillingness to release a potentially damning document that reportedly exposes a bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden, warning the House Oversight Committee will soon have access to the document after a conservation with FBI Director Christopher Wray.

“I want to be very clear with the FBI director that Congress has a right and we have the jurisdiction to oversee the FBI,” McCarthy told Maria Bartiromo during a Sunday interview on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures.

“This is one piece of paper that a chairman of a committee has requested to see,” McCarthy said about an FD-1023 form that could outline an alleged bribery scheme from 2015.

“[Wray] hasn’t even acknowledged whether he has this document, but he hasn’t even provided it. I explained to the director that we will do everything in our power and we have the jurisdiction over the FBI that we have the right to see this document,” McCarthy continued, also adding, “I believe after this call, we will get this document.”

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., issued a subpoena last week demanding the FBI to release the alleged FD-1023 form, but was stonewalled by the FBI, which refused to turn over the document, reported the New York Post on May 10.

House Republicans have accused the FBI of purposely attempting to thwart their investigations into the shady business dealings of the Biden family, including the siting president.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, introduced impeachment articles against Wray, accusing him of protecting Biden. “Under his watch, the FBI has intimidated, harassed, & entrapped Americans who have been deemed enemies of the Biden regime,” Greene said on May 16. “Wray has turned the FBI into Joe Biden and Merrick Garland’s personal police force. Christopher Wray needs to be impeached.”

Comer revealed also on May 16 that several whistleblowers that offered damning information about Biden had gone missing, implying that they are scared to come out with their evidence.

“Unfortunately, we can’t track down the informant. We’re hopeful that the informant is still there,” Comer told Bartiromo on May 16. “We have basic information with respect to what the informant has alleged, and it’s very serious. It alleges that Joe Biden, when he was vice president, was involved in a quid pro quo with a foreign country in exchange for foreign aid,” Comer continued.

It remains unknown when or if the FBI will turn over the FD-1023 document.

Biden has dismissed claims of wrongdoing.
