Majority of Dems Think Jan. 6 Was Feds’ Fault

'The whopping majority of both likely male and female voters across political parties and ages -- 80% -- stated that it is very important to release the footage...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) More than half of Americans — 62% of all voters and 57% of Democrats — believe that federal agents were the reason why the Capitol protests of Jan. 6, 2021, turned into a riot, according to a new Rasmussen poll.

Sixty-one percent of likely voters said it was either very likely –39% — or somewhat likely — 22% — that undercover government agents helped provoke the Capitol riot, and 59% of men and 63% of women said that they believe that federal agents helped to provoke the Capitol riot.

The majority of American voters who think that what happened at the Capitol was not just a natural occurrence broke down among different political parties, with 57% of Democrats thinking that it is either very likely — 34% — or somewhat likely — 23% — while 51% of Republicans said that it is very likely and only 19% of Republicans said that it is somewhat likely.

Based on photos, videos and eyewitness accounts, many people who work for conservative news sources stated that federal agents had been encouraging Donald Trump supporters to enter the Capitol building to bait them so that they would later use them to push their Jan. 6 propaganda, as they did. Among the people who questioned the idea that Trump supporters decided to enter the Capitol building after watching him speak was Tucker Carlson, Fox News host and one of the most famous conservative personalities in the mainstream conservative media.

Not so long ago, Carlson announced that he and his investigative team gained access to the surveillance footage of the in- and outside of the Capitol building and they plan to sort through and release it for the people to see.

The Rasmussen poll also included the question about whether the footage should be released. The whopping majority of both likely male and female voters across political parties and ages — 80% — stated that it is very important to release the footage, with both Republican and Democratic voters saying that the public has the right to see the footage.
