The now-disgraced Lincoln Project has released its roadmap to victory for 2022, calling to “Defeat all Republicans,” according to the Washington Examiner’s Byron York.
The “roadmap” completes the Lincoln Project’s metamorphosis from a GOP-based anti-Trump group into a liberal anti-Republican group.
“Lincoln Project announces its 2022 agenda: Defeat all Republicans. Every one. Keep Democrats in charge of House and Senate. Prepare way for Democrats to keep White House in 2024,” tweeted York, based on a new ad by the Lincoln Project outlining their strategy.

The project, which once was made up of disaffected Republicans who were opposed to Trump, is presently comprised of now-disgraced GOP operatives and top Democratic operatives who have created a scandalous environment by giving themselves outlandish paydays as consultants, several sex scandals, and using outlandish tactics that even have Democrats uneasy.
“More broadly, Democrats who once saw the Lincoln Project as a helpful compliment to their efforts to defeat Trump now view the group as a distraction and a drain of broader campaign funds,” said Politico.
In March of 2021, the New York Times detailed allegations of fraudulent fundraising and of sexual abuse by one of the founders, John Weaver, that has seen the group go from a darling of the left-wing to a pest at which Democrats merely roll their eyes, according to Politico’s coverage.
Perhaps that’s what is behind the pivot to a more general opposition to the GOP, instead of focusing merely as an anti-Trump group as originally founded.
“The Lincoln Project’s mission heading into 2022 is simple and direct: Defeat the Republican Party and their candidates in key states and Congressional districts,” said Lincoln Project co-founder Reed Galen in a project summary for the new ad.
“There is no path forward for today’s GOP — there is no way out of the dark wilderness they’ve created,” he said.
Or perhaps it’s because the founders have nowhere else to go from the dark wilderness they have created, now that they have turned their backs on their party and their supposed conservative beliefs.
