Karine Jean-Pierre Stumped by Question on Whether Voting Republican a Threat

'We are talking about mega-MAGA Republican officials...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was once again stumped by a question from Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, who asked if the Biden administration believes voting for Republicans is a “threat to democracy.”

“Following up on your comment that there is an alarming number of Republicans who are saying they’re not gonna accept election results, does that mean that President Biden thinks it is a threat to democracy if somebody votes Republican?” Doocy asked.

“No, that’s a ridiculous question, no,” Jean-Pierre responded after a moment of confusion.

According to the Daily Caller, Doocy countered by asking her to elaborate on why she finds that question “ridiculous,” to which she provided a long, rambling answer about the sacred right to vote and specified that only “mega-MAGA Republicans” are a threat.

“We are talking about mega-MAGA Republican officials who have been very clear about this, who say they are pro-police but then are also pro-insurrectionist,” she said, not giving any specific examples. “You cannot be pro-police and pro-insurrectionist. Who also say they want to defund the FBI. That is a problem.”

Doocy followed up by asking if the administration believes both Democrats and Republicans should be condemned for denying election results and political violence, which many Democrat pundits have claimed is exclusively a right-wing problem.

Jean-Pierre said the president will “call out any rhetoric” that threatens political violence, no matter what party it comes from.

“It doesn’t matter if there’s a D or an R after your name, he will call out any rhetoric that leads to potentially political violence or that calls for political violence,” she replied. “The president has always, always condemned political violence, it doesn’t matter, again, if you’re a Republican, or Independent, or a Democrat.”

Democrats have put in extra effort to make Republicans look like violent extremists in the lead up to the midterm election, labeling them as “a threat to democracy,” and alluding that those who deny election results are especially privy to violent outbursts.

Most recently, Biden attempted to pin the assault of Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, to Jan. 6 protesters, despite clear evidence that the mentally unhealthy assailant, David DePape, was a left-wing extremist and possibly a “friend” of Pelosi’s.

The blue party themselves have a history of denying election results. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton notably called President Donald Trump was an “illegitimate president” after the 2016 presidential race. In a recent fundraising pitch to fringe radicals on the Left, she pre-emptively claimed that Republicans were plotting to steal the 2024 election.
