(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris responded to polls revealing that she was the worst-rated Veep in American history by insisting that the polls said she had excellent approval ratings.
Harris made the comments in response to a question from ABC News reporter Linsey Davis, who attempted to slip Harris a race card as cover to explain the atrociously-low popularity numbers.
“There are reports that say you have the lowest approval rating of any vice president,” Davis said. “I’m curious — how much of a role, if any, that you feel race and gender play in that?”
Harris replied by insisting polls showed she had high approval ratings, but neglected to cite them, the Daily Wire reported.
“Well, there are polls that also say I have great approval ratings,” Harris fabled. “I think the point that has to be made is that there are attempts to create distractions away from the accomplishments of our administration.”
Harris went on to claim that the Biden administration “created over 13 million jobs” since taking power. She did not mention that many of those jobs were simply people returning the work as COVID restrictions were lifted.
She also claimed that she and President Joe Biden “restore[d] America’s integrity on the international stage.”
Harris’s approval rating landed at 32% last month, according to a poll by NBC News; 49% of respondents had a negative view of her, including 39% who held a “very negative view.”
Her net-negative rating is the lowest for any vice president in history.
The latest Quinnipiac Poll showed Harris is substantially underwater with all demographic groups except one. Among blacks, 62% of registered voters view Harris favorably; only 17% unfavorably.
Another poll indicated that only 39% of voters want Harris as Biden’s 2024 running mate.
Despite the abysmal ratings, Harris continues to have a high regard for herself, comparing her work to that of the founding fathers and pushing radical far-left policy.
