Illegal Aliens in NC Commit 131 Sex Crimes Against Kids in August

Alleged crimes range from abduction to sexual exploitation and rape...

North Carolinians for Immigration Reform and Enforcement released its August 2021 “Child Sex Crimes by Illegals in NC” report and found that authorities arrested 31 illegal aliens for 131 crimes against kids.

Their alleged crimes range from abduction to sexual exploitation and rape.

Delfio Lusgardo Delgado, a 54-year-old illegal alien, accumulated the most charges in August, the Statesville Record & Landmark reported.

The Statesville Police Department in Iredell County arrested Delgado on Aug. 26 and charged him with 28 crimes, including 20 counts of statutory rape of a child and eight counts of indecent liberties with a child. He is imprisoned on a $450,000 bond.

Police with the Nash County Sheriff’s Office arrested Valeriano Silverio Perez, an illegal alien who resides in Middlesex, on Aug. 4 and charged him with 23 crimes, the Rocky Mount Telegram reported.

Nash County authorities transferred Perez to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, which had issued a warrant for his arrest after receiving help from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The Franklin County Detention Center is holding Perez, who awaits trial for seven counts of first-degree felony sexual exploitation of a minor, one count of felony dissemination of sexual material to a minor under 13, two counts of felony incest with a child under 13, five counts of statutory rape of a child under 13, six counts of statutory sex offense of a child under 13, and 2 counts of indecent liberties.

Perez is being held on a $4.67 million bond.

The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Yancairo Nunez, a 33-year-old illegal alien who resides in Jacksonville, and charged him with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, WITN reported.

The NC State Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the county’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit partnered to locate Nunez after they heard that he was sharing child pornography online.

After obtaining a warrant, police with the sheriff’s office searched his home and found sexual photos and videos that involved children on his computer.

Nunez is being held on a $100,000 bond.
