Corrupt Ilhan Omar Demands Impeachment of Clarence Thomas

(Headline USA) Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who has been involved in multiple ethical controversies, demanded this week that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas be impeached for refusing to recuse himself from a case that allegedly involved his wife.

Omar is one of several prominent Democrats floating a conspiracy theory that Thomas dissented in a Supreme Court case regarding former President Donald Trump and Democrats’ Jan. 6 congressional committee to cover up messages between Trump’s White House and his wife, Ginni Thomas.

The question in the case was whether Trump was required to hand over White House communications related to the Jan. 6 Capitol protest to the committee. Clarence Thomas was the only justice who argued he did not have to do so.

Democrats have alleged that Thomas’s ruling was related to leaked text messages obtained by the Washington Post, which revealed that Ginni Thomas talked to then-chief of staff Mark Meadows about the 2020 presidential election and urged him to question its results.

However, the Washington Post noted in its report that Ginni Thomas’s communications with Meadows were a part of the thousands of personal documents Meadows voluntarily gave to the committee, which means they were not a part of the White House documents Clarence Thomas was ruling on.

This fact did not stop Omar from attacking both Clarence and Ginni Thomas.

Her accusations of impropriety are ironic considering she has been the subject of multiple ethical scandals herself.

In 2018, for example, Omar came under fire for accepting payments from colleges in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, which Republicans argued was a “direct violation” of House rules prohibiting legislators from receiving honorariums from organizations that have business before the legislature.

And just this past month, the conservative watchdog National Legal and Policy Center alleged that Omar failed to report a book advance on her financial annual disclosure forms.

Omar’s lack of empathy is curious given that she, too, has been the subject of unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about dual allegiances.

One Florida court case even raised accusations—yet to be disproved, although quickly disavowed—that the Qatari government was a key backer of her political career.

According to under-oath testimony, Omar was considered to be the “jewel in the crown” of a broad network of compromised Qatari assets within the US government.

Omar also was the subject of a rumor—never disproven—that she may have committed incest by marrying her brother in order to commit student-loan and immigration fraud.
