GOP Leaders: Justice Dept. Covering for Biden Crime Inc. w/ Trump J6 Indictment

'Biden DOJ unveils the latest effort to stop Trump from running against Biden - totally unprecedented in American history...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA)  In a fiery display of outrage, GOP lawmakers and prominent influencers united to condemn the Biden-led Justice Department for orchestrating a federal indictment against Donald Trump, the leading Republican candidate for president in 2024.

The four-count indictment, initiated by Special Counsel Jack Smith and announced by Trump himself on Tuesday, centers around Trump’s purported efforts to investigate allegations of wrongdoing amid the 2020 presidential election.

The timing of the indictment—just two days after Devon Archer, a former business partner of the Biden family, implicated President Joe Biden in his son’s questionable business dealings—has further fueled accusations of a politically motivated cover-up.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., took to Twitter to slam the charges. “Everyone in America could see what was going to come next: DOJ’s attempt to distract from the news and attack the frontrunner for the Republican nomination, President Trump,” McCarthy said on Wednesday.

The House Speaker promised to continue investigating emerging details of “Biden Inc. and the two-tiered system of justice.”

Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., McCarthy’s number two, echoed the speaker’s remarks. Specifically, Scalise said, “Biden’s DOJ is cutting sweetheart deals for Hunter to cover for the Biden Family’s influence-peddling schemes while at the same time trying to persecute his leading political opponent.” Scalise also called it “an outrageous abuse of power.”

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., who led the behind-closed-door testimony of Devon Archer, accused Biden of plotting a cover-up campaign in a Tuesday interview on Fox News. “The American people see through this. This is a sad day for the rule of law and a sad day for the justice system in America,” Comer told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., a staunch Trump ally, chimed in, blasting what she believed to be a “politicized” and “weaponized” DOJ. Greene added, “Democrats can’t win on their failed America Last policies, so they’ve taken off their masks and are exposing their true identity, COMMUNISTS!!!”

On the Senate side, Republicans wasted no time reacting with similar sentiments, with Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., saying, “Biden DOJ unveils the latest effort to stop Trump from running against Biden—totally unprecedented in American history.”

Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., joined in the criticism, saying the indictment was fueled by the Democratic Party’s fear of not beating Trump in 2024. “The Left knows they can’t beat Trump amid Biden’s failures, so they’re trying to take him out with criminal charges,” Blackburn said. “Biden’s abusing two tiers of justice to target his greatest political opponent.”

Trump is charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, conspiracy against rights and obstruction of an official proceeding.
