(Pamela Cosel, Headline USA) More than two years after the US and the rest of the world were exposed to COVID-19, GOP investigators are leading the way to prove Dr. Anthony Fauci was greatly at fault with hiding information about the origin of the virus that has taken the lives of millions worldwide.
Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, discussed what they called the “Fauci COVID Cover Up” in a video posted on YouTube.
“We’re convinced that Dr. Fauci, Dr. Collins and others knew, right from the get-go, that this thing most likely came from a lab, and I think they took real concerted steps to make sure the country didn’t get that information,” Jordan said. Collins was the head of the National Institute of Health at the time.
A series of emails revealed in January 2022 indicate that Fauci and Collins worked to shut down the idea that the virus came from a Chinese lab, reported the Washington Examiner.
Since the beginning, it was generally known that COVID-19 was developed in a lab in Wuhan, China, and said to have been “leaked” to the population. Many scientists spoke out at the time, saying it came from the lab. Yet their voices were ignored because Fauci said the virus had a “natural” origin.
A 17-page report by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in Washington D.C. released in October 2021 stated the likelihood that the virus was of natural origin is very low.
Fauci is believed to have covered up and hid information about the lab leak. Perhaps it’s directly related to his involvement in that very same lab and its funding for “gain-of-function” research. Fauci denies that it happened, but National Institutes of Health records show he is lying, according to the New York Post.
If the Republicans win the majority of the House of Representatives this November, Jordan plans to get sworn testimony from the 11 virologists who spoke out about the lab leak, as well as get sworn testimony from Fauci and Collins.
Just as the virus continues to linger worldwide, the need to get truthful answers is not dying off, either. The GOP intends to get the real facts from those who appear to be hiding them.
