(Headline USA) GoFundMe is allowing a fundraiser for the family of a Minnesota man who fired shots into his neighbors’ homes, almost killing a mother and her children, but it took down a fundraiser for the New York City bodega owner who defended himself against an attempted robber.
GoFundMe deleted the page for Jose Alba, the bodega worker who defended himself, because “our terms prohibit fundraising for legal defense of a violent crime.”

The fundraiser for the family of Andrew “Tekle” Sundberg, 20, who was killed by police after an hourslong standoff with law enforcement, surpassed its goal of $20,000 in just three days.
Yet the GoFundMe page for Jose Alba, who was arrested and charged after he killed a man trying to rob him and his store, was taken down almost immediately.
The mother who was almost shot by Sundberg, Arabella Yarbrough, recently confronted leftist protesters who were rallying in solidarity with Sundberg, arguing that he did not deserve their sympathy or support.
“He tried to kill me in front of my kids! … There’s bullet holes in my kitchen!” she said.
“I literally had five minutes to live while he had six hours to choose life or death,” she continued. “The police stated they did not want to kill him.”
Arabella Foss-Yarbrough, who survived the shooting from Andrew Tekle Sundberg argued with protesters to go home.

Although Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced this week that he would drop the murder charge against Alba following massive public backlash, supporters of his cause may still contribute via Christian-based crowdsourcing alternative GiveSendGo.
His son, Danny Alba, established a campaign on the site that had raised $104,000 of its $250,000 goal as of Wednesday morning.
“It is truly disgusting how they are trying to keep my dad in jail for protecting himself from a person who physically and verbally assaulted him before he took any action to protect his own life,” Danny Alba wrote. “If there is any justice left in the judicial system please let it work here in the place where I was born and raised, Harlem.”
This isn’t the first time GoFundMe has been called out for its woke hypocrisy.
The site notoriously denied a campaign for Kenosha, Wisc., freedom fighter Kyle Rittenhouse after he was charged with murder for defending himself against an onslaught of attacks by Antifa rioters during a 2020 race riot. Rittenhouse was subsequently acquitted.
Even more egregiously, GoFundMe attempted to steal money donated to Canada’s Freedom Convoy and redirect it to woke causes after the far-left Justin Trudeau-led government exerted pressure on it to help disperse the gathering of truckers in the capital city of Ottawa.
