George Soros Spent Upwards $440M on Media Manipulation, Leftist Activism and Elections-Fixing

'...to spread his radical leftist ideas on abortion, Marxist economics, anti-Americanism, defunding the police, environmental extremism and LGBT fanaticism...'

(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Cosmopolitan oligarch George Sorors spent $131 million on media companies from 2016 to 2020, another $138 million on political nonprofits in 2021 and $170 million on personal donations to political candidates in the 2022 election.

Soros spent more than $130 million on media companies from 2016 to 2020, according to a new study by Joseph Vazquez and Dan Schneider of MRC Business.

“Soros specifically funneled at least $131,111,250  between 2016 and 2020 into 253 journalism and activist media groups worldwide,” according to Vazquez and Schneider.

Soros is bankrolling these media organizations “to spread his radical leftist ideas on abortion, Marxist economics, anti-Americanism, defunding the police, environmental extremism and LGBT fanaticism.”

This amount of money outpaces Soros’s previous spending. Between 2000 and 2014 he spent a whopping $103,236,632 on media groups, according to MRC Business.

The new study is part of a tripartite study focusing on Soros’s influence on American politics, according to Fox News. The next part of the study is expected to show Soros’s connections in the mainstream media.

In addition to his media expenditures, the oligarch also made “donations” of $138 million –via his nonprofit–to “advocacy organizations and ballot initiatives,” in 2021 according to CNBC.

The money was spent by the Open Society Policy Center, a “charity” that is part of the Soros-bankrolled Open Society Foundations network, per tax documents.

CNBC noted that these organizations do not always make direct contributions. Sometimes the money is sent from the parent organization to another organization before being donated.

Despite the confusing chain of custody of cash, all of the nonprofit organizations are owned by the Open Society Foundations network, which also owns several colleges and universities.

Aaron McKean, an attorney at the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center, explained the purpose of the complex funding networks and schemes.

“Wealthy special interests and individuals try to hide their influence in elections, including by funding politically active nonprofits, because they know that the messenger matters,” he said.

CNBC listed some of the groups that received funding from Soros:

  • America Votes, an organization advocating for mail-in voting, received $16.9 million.
  • Demand Justice, a leftist legal organization that supported the nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson, received $4.5 million.
  • Equis Labs, a leftist Latino voting organization, received $6.48 million.
  • Future Forward USA Action, which donated money to another organization (Future Forward USA) that spent $60 million supporting Joe Biden’s campaign, received $5.5 million.
  • The Sixteen Thirty Fund, a dark money fund for leftists, received $23.9 million.

In addition to his extravagant spending on the media and political organizations, Soros donated $170 million in his own name to candidates in 2022, according to CNBC. His individual donations, as well as the donations of his organizations, may be found at OpenSecrets.
