(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In a stunning turn of events, former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Robert Redfield laid out to Congress the case for the Wuhan lab leak theory surrounding the Coronavirus’ origin and initial spread.
Redfield, testifying before the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, noted that the Wuhan lab is deeply suspect for various reasons, the Daily Caller reported.
First, he attacked gain-of-function method research, noting that “it probably caused the greatest pandemic our world has seen.”

The lab’s behavior leading up the the virus sweeping the world, according to the former CDC director, was also deeply suspect.
Dr. Robert Redfield, the former CDC Director, talks about three suspicious events that took place at the Wuhan lab in September 2019:

“In September of 2019, three things happened in that lab. One is they deleted the sequences. That is highly irregular, researchers don’t usually like to do that. Second thing they did was they changed the command and control from civilian control to the military control. Highly unusual,” he said.
Lastly, according to Redfield, the lab made changes to its facility–specifically, its air filtration system.
“And the third thing they did, which I think is really telling, is they let a contractor redo the ventilation system in that laboratory. So I think, clearly, there was a strong evidence that there was a significant event that happened in that laboratory in September.”
Redfield also slammed leftist COVID champion, Anthony Fauci, for forcing him out of COVID response discussions because he was sympathetic to the lab leak theory.
Former CDC Director: Coming Up With a Single Narrative Is Antithetical to Science
Dr. Redfield, who was the CDC director at the time, was excluded from a February 2020 call with doctors Fauci, Collins, and others discussing the origins of COVID.

“This was an a priori decision that there’s one point of view, that we’re going to put out there, and anyone who doesn’t agree with it is going to be sidelined,” Redfield testified. “And as I say, I was only the CDC director, and I was sidelined.”
He also noted that Fauci and friends did not believe that Redfield was taking COVID seriously enough.
“I think I made it very clear in January [2020] to all of them why we had to aggressively pursue this,” Redfield continued. “And I let them know as a virologist that I didn’t see that this was anything like SARS or MERS. … And they knew that was how I was thinking.”
The testimony sent Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, into a rage against Fauci’s stunning incompetence.
“So three days after they say it came from a lab, they changed their position, and the only intervening event was a conference call with Dr. Fauci and Dr. Collins,” Jordan said.
“Again, a call that Mr. Redfield (CDC Director at the time) was not allowed to be on … And then three months later, Shazam! They get 9 million bucks from Dr. Fauci. Why, isn’t that something?”
