Fla. Balks at Biden’s Plan to ‘Monitor’ Midterm Polls in Democrat Strongholds

'Is something in the works to cause Republicans to react and then charge them? ... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) While Democrats have fought to prevent and obstruct Republicans from securing election integrity by monitoring polls and watching ballot boxes, the Biden administration announced on Monday that it will be dispatching regime agents to police elections in select locations on Tuesday.

The purported reason for the crackdown was in response to “civil rights groups and the federal government” who “have raised alarm over potential voter intimidation at some polling places and ballot boxes,” reported the Associated Press.

The mysterious legion of voter intimidation is taking place even as the White House confirmed that there have been “no specific, credible threats identified at this point.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre simultaneously assured that “all appropriate steps” are being “taken to ensure safe and secure voting.”

Biden’s election monitors will be dispatched to states that have enacted legislation that critics claim is designed to deny ballot access, despite record early turnout in many of those same states.

“These include Georgia, Texas, Arizona, Florida and other states that implemented election integrity measures Biden and other Democrats have characterized as ‘Jim Crow 2.0,’” the Daily Signal reported.

“The Justice Department officials will also be in several battleground states with closely-contested races such as Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.”

The DOJ announced its plans to monitor compliance with federal voting rights laws in 64 jurisdictions in 24 states.

“Since the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the Civil Rights Division has regularly monitored elections in the field in jurisdictions around the country to protect the rights of voters,” the DOJ said in a statement.

“The Civil Rights Division will also take complaints from the public nationwide regarding possible violations of the federal voting rights laws through its call center. The Civil Rights Division enforces the federal voting rights laws that protect the rights of all citizens to access the ballot.”

The 64 jurisdictions where regime agents will be monitoring elections include Maricopa County, Arizona, where leftist and Democrats have been in a frenzy because Republican poll watchers are watching ballot boxes.

Florida election officials didn’t take kindly to news of the impending arrival of Biden poll agents, and accused the Justice Department of overstepping its authority. In a letter to the DOJ, the Florida Department of State wrote that, “federal election ‘monitors’ are not permitted inside polling places as it would be counterproductive and could potentially undermine confidence in the election.”

“Your letters do not detail the need for federal monitors in these counties,” the officials noted of Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach.

“None of the counties are currently subject to any election-related federal consent decrees. None of the counties have been accused of violating the rights of language or racial minorities or of the elderly or disabled.

“Your letters simply provide a non-exhaustive list of federal elections statutes as the basis for this action without pointing to any specific statutory authorization.”

With that as a backdrop, the “Florida Department of State invokes its authority under section 101.58(2) of the Florida Statutes to send its own monitors to the three targeted jurisdictions. These monitors will ensure that there is no interference with the voting process.”

Biden’s election monitors are also slated to descend on Michigan, where the Democrat secretary of state has been gaslighting on election violence for months without a shred of evidence, according to the Gateway Pundit.

“She’s even gone on the morning news show circuit to warn of election violence, yet we’ve seen no evidence of her claims,” wrote Patty McMurray.

“Is something in the works to cause Republicans to react and then charge them? Is that why Garland’s DOJ is coming to select cities where voter fraud is most prevalent?”

In that light, Garland’s midterm-eve announcement did little to reassure that the Biden regime’s actions were meant to bolster election integrity.

“This appears to be an effort by our authoritarian AG Merrick Garland to intimidate poll challengers and possibly prevent them from reporting voter fraud if they witness it in any of these 64 ‘monitored’ precincts,” McMurray wrote.

“It wasn’t that long ago that the DOJ threatened parents for speaking out at school board meetings, so this move to intimidate poll challengers shouldn’t surprise anyone. This is what happens under a Marxist regime—it should never be happening in America.”
