(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) As the alleged City of Brotherly Love is being systematically destroyed by a deadly wave of violent crime and murderous mayhem, turning Philadelphia into what one resident called “a cesspool of lawlessness,” the state’s far-left Lt. Gov. John Fetterman continues to run his Senate campaign on promises of releasing criminals and legalizing dangerous narcotics.
This weekend, John Fetterman’s campaign claimed, “John does not support decriminalizing all drugs.”

As a microcosm of the violence infesting Democrat-run cities across the country, Philadelphia’s crime wave has left more than 750 people shot since the end of May, with overall crime spiking nearly 27% through September, reported the Daily Mail.
Since Memorial Day, not a single 24-hour span has passed without a shooting taking place, at any given hour, impacting nearly every part of city. Between Labor Day and Memorial Day “nearly eight people on average were shot every day,” according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Incidents from the latest spate of deadly mayhem that were posted to social media produced a whiplash of horror and outrage at the Democrats in charge, on both municipal and state levels, who have done nothing to curb the carnage.
In just the last week, a Temple University grad was shot dead while walking down a street and a spray of bullets that erupted after a high school football scrimmage killed one teenager and seriously injured four others, reported NBC News.

“Sickening to see kids walking out of football practice get shot dead in Philadelphia,” wrote Philly talk radio host Nick Kayal.
“Progressive policies & being soft on crime only continues to destroy this city. But I’m sure the Dem’s will continue to complain about it and STILL vote Democratic.”

Philly residents, fed up with the raging crime that has many fearing for their lives and fighting to keep small businesses running, are increasingly placing blame squarely on Fetterman and Democrats that include Soros-lackey Philadelphia D.A. Larry Krasner and Attorney General Josh Shapiro, who is running for governor against state Sen. Doug Mastriano.

Shapiro’s version of fighting crime during his tenure as attorney general included writing briefs to support lawsuits filed by “transgender female students and their requests to use the bathroom that aligns with their self-proclaimed gender identities,” according to the Post Millennial.
John Fetterman and Josh Shapiro remained silent during the Philadelphia ANTIFA riots. Now these two clowns are remaining silent during the historic Philadelphia Crime Wave. How could anyone in Pennsylvania vote for John Fetterman and Josh Shapiro?! pic.twitter.com/PYSpCHOEFb

Fetterman, when not dodging debates against Republican Mehmet Oz, has made clear how he would deal with the crime that’s destroying his state.
Q: “If you had a magic wand and you could wave it and fix one thing, what would it be?”
Fetterman: I would end “life without parole” for murderers. pic.twitter.com/U0DnlvUrLx
