Fauci Fears Becoming GOP Target After Midterms

'I pledge to use the subpoena power to get every last record about the origin of the virus, about Fauci... '

(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) Political science doctor Anthony Fauci said that if Republicans win a congressional majority in November they will have the “Benghazi hearings all over again” to expose his lies about COVID-19, reported The Blaze.

“They’ll try to beat me up in public, and there’ll be nothing there,” Fauci told the Washington Post. “But it will distract me from doing my job, the way it’s doing right now.”

Fauci has lied about COVID-19‘s origins, its transmissibility and death rate, effective treatment options, and his own conflicts of interest.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., exposed that Fauci funded dangerous gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. And NIAID grants may still fund similar research to this day.

“If we take over the Senate next year, I’ll be chairman of the health committee, and I pledge to use the subpoena power to get every last record about the origin of the virus, about Fauci,” Paul said on “The Megyn Kelly Show” last December.

But Paul wants to do more than investigate Fauci—he wants to fire him.

Paul proposed an amendment, which the Democrat-controlled Senate health panel rejected on March 15, that would have eliminated Fauci’s position as director National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Fauci said that Republican investigations “are taking away from our effort of fighting this outbreak” because health bureaucrats are “probably spending 40, 50 percent of their time” responding to oversight requests.

“It is just an overwhelming burden, asking for information that’s driven by conspiracy,” he said.

Fauci pushed the hoax that COVID-19 naturally jumped from an animal to a person at the Wuhan wet market, despite knowing that the NIAID was funding coronavirus research at the Wuhan lab.

He lied about the efficacy of masks. He spread misinformation about effective COVID-19 early treatment options, including Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin, and Remdesivir, causing needless deaths.
