(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) The Justice Department sent FBI agents to execute two no-knock raids on Area 51 journalist Joerg Arnu, who runs a website that has monitored activties at the top-secret Air Force base for 23 years.
During the raid, federal agents held Arnu’s girlfriend at gunpoint.
“Needless to say it was a spectacle for curious neighbors, both in Rachel and in Vegas,” Arnu said. “In the process I lost ALL my data, medical files, financial and tax records, passwords, everything.”
Arnu indicated that the government may have started to investigate his Area 51 research.
“It has been brought to my attention that there is concern about some of the material on this site,” he said on Nov. 5. “I do not believe that collecting or publishing that material is against the law.”
Over 23 years and five presidents, Arnu has had freedom as a journalist to legally collect information about Area 51, but the lawless Biden administration has been accustomed to raiding citizens without just cause.
Garland has raided five journalists in fewer than two years.
Now Arnu suspects that the federal government will find a way to indict him.
“And secondly I am concerned that overzealous government agents may use bogus charges against me to ‘send a message,’” he said. “Putting the truth out there can not hurt.”
KLAS chief investigative reporter George Knapp said the raid happened on Nov. 3, though its cause is unclear.
3) The warrants were served one week ago. Arnu noted on his site that he does not know the reason for the raid or whether specific images of the secret base posted online may have initiated such a vigorous action by federal law enforcement. We are gathering more info.
