Amid growing scrutiny over whether the FBI sought to cover up damning information about the Biden family’s corrupt ties to foreign governments, the Justice Department has confirmed that there is an ongoing investigation of Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

The spotlight emerged following a series of bombshell reports, led by the New York Post based on data recovered from Hunter’s abandoned laptop. The details of some emails were corroborated by the Bidens’ former business partner, Tony Bobulinski.
The revelation, along with a recent blackout attempt by mainstream media and social-media outlets, is likely to further enrage and frustrate conservatives who are already suspicious of the political machinations within the FBI following the 2016 ObamaGate scandal and Russian collusion hoax.
It suggests that the probe—for which the FBI subpoenaed Hunter Biden’s hard drive from a Delaware computer technician—was occurring during President Donald Trump’s impeachment and the 2020 campaign.
The initial reason given for the subpoena was that it was part of a money-laundering investigation.
After hearing no word back from the FBI and congressional officials he had reached out to, store owner John Paul Mac Isaac eventually reached out to Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani and provided a copy of the data.
The information on the hard drive implicating the Bidens in a Ukrainian corruption scheme likely would have proven exculpatory prior to House Democrats’ partisan impeachment campaign against Trump.
Moreover, with some 70 million early votes already cast in the upcoming election, the information likely would have had a significant effect on Democrats’ nominating process and the subsequent campaigns.
For many Biden backers who remain in denial about the veracity of the hard-drive evidence, it is likely to offer echoes of 2016 as well.
Already, without evidence, some have insisted that the new scandal is a Russian disinformation plot, despite the corroborating sources and visual confirmation offered from the data.
Hillary Clinton supporters have long blamed then-FBI Director James Comey for reopening an investigation into the candidate’s compromised email server only weeks before the election.
It was later revealed that biased FBI agents, including Peter Strzok, sought to suppress the fact that new classified emails from Clinton’s account had been discovered on the computer of convicted pedophile Anthony Weiner, the disgraced former congressman who was married to Clinton’s personal assistant.
