Distressed Pleas: Three Women Slashed in Random NYC Subway Attack

‘Some random guy walked past me and sliced me — I don’t know what he used — and nonchalantly walked away. My body was in shock. I didn’t feel the pain right away...’

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Disturbing video footage has emerged from a New York City subway, depicting a female victim of a knife attack desperately pleading for help and urging fellow passengers to call 911, all while chasing her alleged assailant.

The harrowing video, obtained by the New York Post, showed a chaotic and violent scene inside a subway train. The unnamed 28-year-old victim, covered in blood, courageously pursued her attacker through the train’s doors.

Despite her cries for help, many hesitated to intervene before the unsettling video concluded. “Somebody call 911, somebody call 911,” the victim can be heard saying in the video. “Pull the emergency brake, pull the emergency brake.”

The New York City Police Department arraigned and charged 28-year-old Kemal Rideout with multiple counts of assault. The suspect was subsequently taken to a New York hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

The brutal attack was one of three slashings, all involving three victims, that occurred within minutes of each other, according to ABC 7.

The victim featured in the video described the random attack to a local news outlet, stating, “I was on the train, texting my boyfriend, when some random guy walked past me and sliced me.” The female victim mentioned that she did not immediately feel the pain. “My body was in shock,” she added, before expressing her instinct to capture the alleged suspect on video.

The alleged assailant stabbed one of the victims so deeply that first responders had to employ a tourniquet to stop the bleeding, as reported by ABC 7.

This incident, which reignited discussions about lawlessness in New York, particularly within the subway system, follows another high-profile case involving the death of an unhinged homeless man.

Daniel Penny, a retired Marine hero, faced state charges brought by Alvin Bragg, the embattled Manhattan District Attorney, after Penny restrained Jordan Neely, an unhinged mentally ill homeless man who had threatened subway passengers and declared his fearlessness towards death or lifelong imprisonment if his demands were not met.

Similarly, Jordan Williams was reportedly called heroic by witnesses after he allegedly fatally stabbed a man who was lashing out in violence on a NYC subway.
