Dems Trying to Change SCOTUS Recusal Standards for J6 Scheme

'There are major limitations, obviously. But we can’t just sit on our hands... '

(Joshua PaladinoHeadline USA) Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee may try to change the Supreme Court‘s recusal standards in an effort to prevent Justice Clarence Thomas from ruling on cases related to election fraud and the Jan. 6 protest, The Gateway Pundit reported.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler said he hopes to draft legislation that could force Supreme Court Justices to recuse themselves from cases, a clear violation of the court’s independence as a separate and equal branch of the federal government, reported Gateway Pundit.

One Democrat acknowledged the difficulties involved with legislating the Supreme Court’s internal operations, but added that Democrats must intervene.

“There will be a conversation on how to proceed. Some of us are eager to perform some kind of oversight,” a Democrat lawmaker told NBC on Tuesday.

“We totally understand the separation-of-power issues. There are major limitations, obviously. But we can’t just sit on our hands.”

Democrats hope to remove Thomas from J6 cases because his wife, Ginni Thomas, texted  Trump’s former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows about the election results.

“Help This Great President stand firm, Mark!!!…You are the leader, with him, who is standing for America’s constitutional governance at the precipice,” Ginni wrote. “The majority knows Biden and the Left is attempting the greatest Heist of our History.”

Meadows responded: “This is a fight of good versus evil. Evil always looks like the victor until the King of Kings triumphs. Do not grow weary in well doing. The fight continues. I have staked my career on it. Well at least my time in DC on it.”

The feminist movement has long declared that a wife can hold opinions independent of her husband, yet the Left has equated Ginni’s opinions with Clarence’s.

Lawyers have begun to float ideas about how to disqualify Thomas.
